And if you’re like me, you know approximately what day you conceived and celebrated it with a glass of wine 4 days ago 😂 #valentinebaby
How are your kiddos? G is fixing to roll over. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t do it in the next week or two. He still very much prefers me over DH (poor DH thinks G hates him). Still hates the car seat.

Haha, just this morning I was thinking that our conception anniversary is coming up. Ahh charting fun!
DD also strongly favors me right now. She’s still crying a ton; I’m very nervous about returning to work. I know she’ll adjust eventually, but I hate the thought of her being so upset.
Anyone else thinking about TTC again? I think we might start this summer. It took longer than I expected with DD, so I don’t want to waste any time.

My shop is closed. But we’ve talked a few times about fostering in a few years. If adoption wasn’t such an expensive process, we would maybe consider it, but I think foster parenting is a good option for us.

marigold i’m sorry she’s still crying so much. i know thinking about going back to work is stressful, but maybe it will help with that? i’m waiting for a to stop screaming at night for h while i take care of bedtime for dd2. katespade have you had anymore appointments for his heart? i can’t remember what the status of that was - i hope things are going as well as they can with it. a is also thinking about rolling, he gets up on his side from his back. i’m sure if i made a point to actually do regular tummy time that we’d be there by now, but he really doesn’t like it and also third kid problems. i’m also waiting for a bit more of a routine at night with him. i feel like i was able to settle into something at this point with dd2 but things are still pretty inconsistent. i just want like an hour to unwind after we put them all to bed. we are considering a 4th - something i never thought i’d be open to. we will see if it happens. the girls were about 1.5 before my cycles returned so there’s time. i just can’t seem to wrap my head around the logistics and also i’m getting “old” so i don’t know. i am also a little scared of peoples reactions to 4.

polson he has seen both cardiologists again. Cardiologist 1 is for his condition, cardiologist 2 is monitoring for the condition I have. In terms of what I have, his EKGs have all been totally clear. I just sent off a sample to do genetic testing on myself so we can determine the exact gene mutation I have and then test G and DD for it. Hopefully we can eliminate that cardiologist from our rotation! In terms of his condition, his appointment in January showed the pressure on his heart was stable, so fortunately surgery doesn’t need to happen at this moment. He goes back at the end of March for his next echocardiogram and I’m hopeful it’ll still be stable.

Hi everyone! W dropped to the 5th percentile at his 2mo appt and we were starting to struggle again with latching. We went to lactation and she thought maybe he has silent reflux and he’s self limiting how much he takes because he’s associated feeding with pain. So I made a GI appt.
Two days later we went to lactation again, this time with OT. They identified some major oral motor weaknesses that were causing W to not be able to latch well and extract the milk properly. He would chomp long enough to get a letdown and then when that spray slowed down, he’d flip out because he didn’t have the coordination and strength to do the work. Also my supply down regulated to what he was taking so getting mastitis 5 weeks in makes a lot of sense now. What didn’t make sense was that he was so happy for a baby who wasn’t eating enough. 🤷🏻♀️
OT gave us some exercises to do and we came up with a nursing, pumping, bottle feeding plan to get my supply up and to force him to work harder with a bottle too. GI says they think he might have a bit of reflux but don’t think it’s causing our issues.
Anyway, it’s been really hard the last two weeks and I realize this isn’t a long term / sustainable solution but he has gained over a pound in 2 weeks and he’s been doing really well!

Baby M is doing well, although his 2 month vaccines are making him feel pretty crummy. We’re still supplementing (quite a bit) but I hoping the placenta finally being all out might help with my supply. I’m going to call the IBCLC today to see what she thinks.

We are for sure done after two. I had an IUD placed, which needed to come out yesterday, and will probably put it back when I go back too my two week follow up. Thinking about a vasectomy for my H when the pandemic is over.

Oh hello. I just had retained product removed yesterday. 10 weeks postpartum today. 😖 I’m so sorry about this I think I mentioned I had unexplained heavy bleeding a few weeks PP after not bleeding at all and my OB gave me an ultrasound to make sure I didn’t retain anything. I can’t believe they missed that for so long with you.

G is 4 months old on Tuesday and I don’t know how that happened so fast. He is going to need his hair trimmed before he’s 6 months old I think- it’s already close to his eyes in the front!

Oh hello. I just had retained product removed yesterday. 10 weeks postpartum today. 😖 My gosh! I haven’t been around a whole lot lately but I think I got the condensed version from your thread in GD. I cannot believe it took this long for them to discover and that they placed your IUD with a positive test! I really hope it won’t be long until you’re feeling better and your supply recovers.

We were supposed to be done after W (our 3rd) and I really thought I’d have that feeling of completeness. But I don’t. MH would have been happy if we stopped at 2 (of course he still loves his son and is thrilled to have him). But I say that because I don’t think he’ll be up for a 4th. Logically it makes sense to be done for financial and other reasons but my heart isn’t there. We won’t do anything permanent until we’re really certain.

piratecat yikes i can’t believe that happened! i hope that helps with your supply, how stressful Fearsy i’m sorry you’ve had such a hard few weeks. i hope ot will help and feeding will become easier for you and him. your thoughts on having another are completely where i’m at as well. i’m not feeling the completeness either, but i’m worried i won’t feel that after another either. it’s irrational, but for me, i think that if we had had another girl i would have been ready to be done. the girls have ski lessons this morning and then h is taking them to his parents for lunch and quiet time after. his parents got their second shots a couple of weeks ago. it’s been a year since they’ve been able to do this, and i’m so excited for all parties involved.

We have a weight check appt this afternoon so 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for us that the pedi is happy and we can check back in at our 4mo appt I’m feeling frustrated because he’s refusing to nurse and only wants the bottle. I was really hoping I could focus on increasing my supply but it feels impossible if he won’t nurse. I just can’t manage to pump any more than I have been. It’s like I’m just starting breastfeeding all over again except I’m feeding a 10 week old baby that already prefers a bottle and my maternity leave is almost over. 😭 I hope weight check goes well! When was his last weight check and how much did he weigh?

It’s been really hard to do the triple thing with pumping, bottling, nursing, etc so I feel you there. His last appt was 2/12 and he was 10lb 2oz on their scale. We’re headed out soon for that appt.
