Camp.bell Gra.hame came Wednesday afternoon at 38 w 6 d after a sudden bout with preeclampsia. Which is lucky, because this chunk was 9 lbs 15 oz and 22 inches already🤣
I didn’t sleep at all Tuesday night, and first thing I said when he came out was “that is a fat ass baby”. All the nurses were cracking up.

He’s a cute, chill guy, and we are over the moon.
Congrats on the huge baby lady!!
When DS(3) came out at 9 pounds (at 39 weeks) the midwife and nurses and I all went "he's huge!". And your cutie is almost a pound more!

I just realized I put the wrong week in my op, he came at 38+6 lol.
pbandj714 congrats, he’s a cutie! I also have a chill baby who’s struggling with weight gain. I’m thinking something’s up with her latch and that’s why nursing isn’t effective for her. We’ve been supplementing with formula the last few days so we’ll see if it’s helped when we go for a weight check tomorrow.
I feel kinda... weird? about her not having gotten back up to birth weight yet (she’ll be 3 weeks on Saturday)- all my other kids had no problem gaining weight, even dd1 who had a poor latch due to lip tie. At this point I don’t want extra stress about BFing so I think we’ll go to formula exclusively. Don’t mind me, just rambling on. Also need to remind myself that every baby is different.
Sorry you're having feeding/weight gain issues, too. My twins had issues gaining weight, too, and I was too in denial of my PPA to seek the help of a LC so my supply dwindled quick and we went to formula. Do whatever you need to do to feed baby and stay (somewhat) sane.
mothafuckinteatime congrats on that cute, fat baby! I had three 9+ lb babies so I get the surprise at how chunky they are 😂 hope you’re doing well and not dealing with any effects from the preeclampsia!

Thank you! Just swelling in my feet still and a weird black eye from where my eyes were swollen. I’m luckily feeling much better.

Congrats!! He's beautiful. 😍 And homg, I almost died with my 8,12 babe, my condolences to your pelvis. 😂

Better late than never! Eli James arrived on 4/14 at 39 weeks. Weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz and 19 inches long. We ended up scheduling an induction as his growth slowed in the last few weeks so there was some concern there along with the gestational diabetes. I was also GBS positive so we were able to be certain I got the antibiotics. So far everything is going well! Big sister is still a little unsure of him, but she’s a little more interested everyday.
