Morning!
Sun is out today, thankfully. One more day of grey might've driven me over the edge!
I've got chicken chili in the crock pot for dinner tonight, the yard guy is here, and C has ballet in a bit. She surprised me and came in all ready to go (tights included!) Where has my baby gone??

Out electricity is out again. It went out when I was on the elliptical. Nothing else to do, so I just kept going.
My mom lives 4 minutes from me and hasn't lost hers once.

Out electricity is out again. It went out when I was on the elliptical. Nothing else to do, so I just kept going. My mom lives 4 minutes from me and hasn't lost hers once. Is this from rolling blackouts, or ice/branches down on the lines, or what? My cousin is outside of Houston and has been out of power since last night. I saw where the wind turbines there have frozen so there's not enough electricity. Scary stuff. |

nam2013 glad she recovered them! I know a photographer that had her hard drive crash with no back up and she paid $2500 to a company to try to recover them. They couldn’t recover and she was still out the $$ plus she re-did all the lost photo sessions for free obv. Also...we want to see pics...so share please!

Still cold here, but we have power and water. melaniesue is just a few blocks from me and they were without power yesterday and went to a hotel. We ended up extending for two more days since they have no clue when the power will come back. Feeling incredibly thankful to have found a hotel room. Apparently the only reason it hasn’t lost power here is because it’s on the same electrical grid as the hospital. |

Ok...so please don’t judge my super ugly floral comforter that is every bit of 35+ years old...but look at this ridiculousness! These are outside dogs...loving the inside life during this cold! I’m ready for the warm up though so I can reclaim my house.  So, the ugly comforter was my parents when I was a kid. When my mom got a new one it became a “spare”. As an adult every time I would visit overnight that was what I slept with. It is seriously the most comfortable comforter ever! I told my mom if she ever wanted to get rid of it I wanted it. When they sold their house 10ish years ago she was purging and brought it to me on a visit. I used it as a spare when I was washing mine one night and I still love the feel of it so much that I just use it primarily now. Lol. I have a very nice expensive comforter that matches our decor...but I just love the feel of this one sooo much. I don’t even care that it doesn’t match and is ugly because no one ever sees our room. |

I wouldn't care and would do my part...if everyone in the area had to have to experience them. My mom is all electric and hasn't lost her power. My best friend on the other side of town is also all electric and hasn't lost it. I'm wondering, if they plan this again tomorrow, if school will be in session. They can't expect kids to sit in a dark room for damn near 2 hours. As I was typing that, it came back on. |
