Remember those fire alarms yesterday? Frickin happened again at 3am and have been going off and on since 6am. We're asking for a refund, this is nuts.

All my content is still on TCF. After some looking around around it seems as though deletions are no longer being done.

Julia woke up once. ONCE. Just one time. Of course I woke up multiple times in anticipation of her waking. And now I've broken the rule of baby sleep which is not talking about baby sleep. So tonight she'll wake up 493726 times 😐

And omg to the Christmas clothes on Carters already.
I know I'm prepping for M's birthday which is close-ish to Christmas, but December seems wayyyyy to far away right now. Not ready.
And related to this. Last night I was asking H if we would forgo putting up our (15 ft) tree this year since M will be moving and fascinated with the ornaments and lights. He thinks because we trained the dogs to not touch it, we'll easily get M not to go near it as well. K.

Oh. There are thanksgiving outfits too. I remember being so excited to put M in her 'my first thanksgiving' outfit this time last year. It was a mixture of being so scared that I wouldn't be lucky enough to do it and yet hopeful that I'd finally have my THB for the holidays.
Excuse me while I go cuddle my big girl.

sophiegrace As M gets older you'll find yourself buying clothes way out of season. Snowsuits are already in at Costco and the savings are too much to not pick it up early. Thankfully I'm set for the kids this year. Halloween costumes come out early and for $13 at Costco we get it early and store it away. Otherwise the stores are totally picked over and it's hard to shop.

sophiegrace We put a fence around the tree for Lillian's 2nd Christmas. Then last year, we did try to teach her to not touch it. We had one broken ornament, but otherwise it was ok despite not really being able to keep her away. Dogs are much easier to train than toddlers, imo. Wow. That sucks tjanca22.

sophiegrace right there with you with the holiday clothes. It's approximately 1 million degrees out right now at 9:30...cannot think about Christmas. I don't really shop ahead; I'm not that organized and know myself well enough to know that I will keep buying bc I'll want what's new in stores.😜

Did I tell y'all that the place I was going to have the L's birthday party closed? Yup. After 38 years, 4 months before this party I've been planning for almost 3 years. The people who owned it decided they wanted to retire and instead of selling, just shut down. It's where I had my 3rd birthday and I wanted Lillian to have her 3rd birthday there, too.
So, instead Lillian has requested a princess tea party. I started looking on Pinterest last night and all I've got is how to make edible glitter. Sigh. Starting over is hard.
This morning dh went to his monthly 5k and I'm waiting to hear from him. We are going to get breakfast tacos. So I am having my cup of tea and ate half a cookie. Not sure what we'll do the rest of the day. Maybe see my mom? Potato soup for dinner tonight.

Morning!
We dropped my H's car off for service this morning; now he and B are out doing yard work and I'm tidying up before my sister and BIL get here.

tjanca22 oh hell no. I hope you get your money back! vino yay J!! I hope this is the beginning of a new era for you. We're on the road to the Cape presently. We're only down going to see one of H's law school buddies who is up visiting with his family. Heading back first thing tomorrow. I'm very happy with my decision not to take the kids down yesterday. It sucks but I'm just so over staying with my ILs anymore. Cute toddlerism of the day: H: DS, are you ready to hit the road? DS: we not hit road, we hit a baseball!

Hi ladies. NCU. Just got back from grocery shopping where I ordered a cake for my almost 2 year olds birthday party next weekend. Hold me.
I'm trying to get J down but he slept for 5 minutes in the car so he thinks he doesn't need a nap now. K kid.
My grandma turned 90 yesterday so we are having a party for her today at my aunts. Tomorrow I have the bridal shower and I can't wait for that to be over with! Off to catch up!

Well we got a full refund for our stay. H didn't even have to put much effort into asking. I'm sure the lost a ton of money because of the last two nights. waitwhat, E turning two last month caught me off guard. I think him turning one was more expected. All of a sudden it was his second birthday and I was not prepared for that milestone at all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

tjanca22 Glad you got a refund. Seriously who was letting their kids do that in the middle of the night twice in a row? That is frustrating. No thanks to Christmas stuff already. I can't get excited about the deals because I don't know what size he'll be that far ahead. sophiegrace You mentioned it on another poat but feel free to bump the birthday thread! I need to start seriously planning now.

Ugh I need all the coffee. I didn't get to bed until 2. I didn't realize we were going to be out all night lol. I was ready to fall asleep at 11. But it was really fun and nice to hang out with the girls again. It's been forever. Luckily H let me sleep in this morning. I'm impressed he was able to get pork butt on the smoker and take care of C all morning.

sophiegrace, it's hallmark Christmas weekend! Their new ornaments are starting today! So hallmark channel is showing Christmas movies! I'll be going to order my ornaments! Lol for yh thinking M won't touch the tree! We didn't put any glass ornaments on last year, I didn't realize how many Hallmark ornaments I owned the tree didn't even look like it was empty! 😳 flamingo, I'm usually done with Christmas shopping by October! classymrsa, I'm sorry! That would have been cool bonding moment.

This happened to me too. I feel like every month between birth and one year was so marked for us, but the year between one and two escaped me, even though so much happened. It makes me sad. I thought I would try to be better about documenting each month once he turned two but he's already 2.5 and I haven't really followed through. It's flying by 😢
