I'm laughing at this... my answer is all of them. Target, Amazon, Old Navy, Macy's, Kohl's, anywhere you'd normally buy kids clothes! I never see them in any of these stores, but we’re too far south for them to be in store probably. If I looked online I would most likely see them there. Lol. I thought maybe you had to go to specific stores like sporting goods or something. Lol. lol, you definitely are from the south They are mostly sold out this time of year. I have actually been trying to get a bigger size but I haven't been able to find anything that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

We’ve been trying to keep a full charge on the devices since last night. I even downloaded some shows and movies in case we do lose power so we have something to occupy our minds. Glad it came back pretty quickly. We have a gas fireplace. Can we use that to heat the house a little if we do lose power? I think it should be safe, but I’m new at this. Depends, does it turn on with a light switch? If that is the case, then no, it's the electrical switch that turns them on, regardless that there is gas that keeps them burning. I think propane heaters are about the only things that work, but you wouldn't want to use those in a confined, non ventilated space. No a switch doesn’t turn ours on. We have a gas log that we have to turn on from the bottom of the burner. It’s weird, but it came with the house.

They are expecting outages here tomorrow, so no distance learning for M. MH’s gym is closed, too so we’re all home again tomorrow. It actually hasn’t been too bad. MH has our room, I have the guest room, and the kids are playing and watching TV in the living room.

Oh my goodness. The photographer that took family/newborn pics just texted that her hard drive crashed and she did not have a back up. What in the world... she said she’s working on retrieving them, but couldn’t guarantee anything, if she couldn’t retrieve the pictures she would come back and retake them... Eta it just... I don’t have a newborn anymore 😕. Oh no! I hope she can recover them!

What stores sell snow pants/suits? I need to be on the lookout for some for the kids for next yea when we’re in North Tennessee. Up here, all of them. I would shop now because a lot of stores will be clearancing their stuff out. I usually hit up Columbia’s sale.

This weather sucks! We had a good layer of ice first and haven’t been able to walk outside without our ice grips on our boots in days. Now we are getting snow on top of it. Currently have about 5”. There is another 3-6 inches coming allegedly. Last week S only went to school for 1/2 a day Monday and then was canceled the rest of the week because weather. This week they are “virtual learning “ because of weather. But S can’t do virtual learning so we are just out of luck. Thankfully Friday the temps start going up! Today it is 2* currently with a wind chill of -18. Which is crazy! I do t know how you northerners do it! I stay inside as much as possible. Good boots, coats, hats and mittens.

C hasn’t liked the ones I’ve gotten at Target and Walmart. And since we only get a few snows a year, I’m not spending more than $40. A snow bib is preferable if they will wear one. It prevents the snow from going up shirts and down pants. C refuses of course, sayin they are for babies.

I didn’t realize all schools weren’t closed for Presidents Day today? We were and the rest of the week is February vacation so C will be at his after care place. The freeze hasn’t hit us. It’s oddly going to be in the fifties tomorrow but raining. We went sledding today with Cs friend. There were some spots that grass/mud was showing so we were all gross after. I slid down a huge hill on my back after being bumped out by a ramp. It was actually more comfortable than the sled.
I’ve also been trying to get snow tubing tickets for next Sunday but the website keeps erroring out and no one answered the phone the 20 times I called. I have made it so far as signing waivers and then get kicked out again. It’s infuriating but I’m super stubborn so I keep doing it again. And some people must be getting through because I can see the number of available tickets going down. Grrr!

Hope everyone is staying warm tonight. The snow pics are so cute, though! It is rainy here all this week but was 73 today, if anyone wants to head down. Supposed to cool down a bit mid-week.

Hi hi. No school here so I took the kids to a trampoline/activity place this morning with my sister and nephew. They've been cooped up with all the rain so it was a nice way to blow off some steam, and we were done before it got crazy. Came home to meet the dryer repair guy (it went out last week); he has to come back Wednesday with a part. We think the problem was caused by the venting when the new roof was put on so we had that fixed last week and hopefully this repair will take care of it. No Valentine flowers yesterday, either. DH got ahold of someone today and got a full refund (they initially offered him $20...LOL no. Try again). They told us they were still going to deliver the flowers today as a gesture of goodwill, but I'm sure you'll be surprised to learn...nothing ever arrived. No thank you to 4 day old flowers, anyway. Whatever, I'm putting in a Jcrew order tonight guilt-free. I didn't buy anything last spring with Covid and need to freshen my closet

I got snow gear from Carter’s or children’s place. Children’s place usually has to be for $20

nam2013, that really stinks! I hope she can recover them, I'd be so annoyed . How long ago were the pictures taken? Six weeks ago, so even then it was late for the typical ‘newborn’ shots. 🤞🏻

peachsmama ohhhh I get it! We have rain paints in that style. Our kids have the kind of ‘long sleeve overal style suits’.

We skied when I was a kid and liked those because once you're skiing for a while, you get hot! So we'd wear those and a long sleeve shirt. I need to order me a pair so I can play warmly with them.

Do all the TX ladies have power? My sister hasn’t had power since 2am. She’s just outside of Houston.
