My weekend started at 4am when dd wanted to party. I fed her as per usual but she wouldn't go back down for more than a couple minutes. Mh went in and tried with the same results. We let her fuss for a bit but she wasn't giving it up. Eventual mh brought her into bed with us. She stopped whining but did not go to sleep. Then I caught mh trying to sneak downstairs to get some sleep! Because she was kicking him in the back. I legit said "Um, no. You brought her in here. She's clawing my arm. And plus also, I haven't had more than four hours of sleep in a row since we dropped the swaddle 1.5 months ago and someone is always touching me." He needed to share in the suffering. 4am Lakes was displeased. Now the two of them are still sleeping while I'm up with ds. 7am Lakes is also displeased. On the upside we're going to Grounds for Sculpture (waves to my NJ peeps, pibblemom and peaseblossom55!) with mh's cousin and their two girls. It seems pretty cool. Their girls love my kids so my toddler will be entertained and loving the extra attention. |

We're headed to a birthday party this afternoon for the daughter of a friend. It's an hour away from my house so I'm not thrilled about having to drive an hour home late in the day but it is what it is. DH is working on our house so I'm solo with both kids.
On a good note, the photographer just sent me Bs 6 month photos! I'll be a super AW and share some in a sec.

So yay E slept until 9! Also everytime she wakes up he is in a completely different position from where we leave her complete 180. Heading to the il's today!!!

ellabee I can't handle the cuteness! He looks like such a little man. peaseblossom55 really?! I thought you were farther north! I'm pretty exited, I think ds will have a blast. The weather should be nice too.

ellabee, those pics are too cute! peaseblossom55, congrats on the baby sleep in, I've never experienced that with either kid, very jealous.  judyblume14, good luck with the potty training! Lakes, sorry about the hard morning, hopefully your sculpture park adventure is extra fun to make up for it. We are trying to have a low key day so we are going to go out and take a walk at a nature preserve, hopefully the kids behave because they've had some questionable behavior this week. We are leaving for vacation this week so we have some shopping to do and things to organize.

Lakes, I've never been to Grounds for Sculpture, but it's funny you mention it because a fb friend just visited there this week and i recommended she also check out Storm King Art Center up near the NY/NJ border. ellabee, he looks SO grown up! Omg so handsome! C's first night in her crib went awesome! She took a while to go down, but she fussed around midnight and got herself back to sleep, then she slept til 7 😳😳😳 I, on the other hand, got woken up all night long by the animals who haven't been allowed in our room for 6 months. We had to leave the door open so that the AC from our room could travel into hers. Sigh. Progress?

So, Hs cousin is getting married Friday. His other cousin (the sister) had her baby this week so her son will be less than 2 weeks old. I offered her some of my frozen milk and also offered to wet nurse for the night bc I have no feels on going. She didn't even realize she could give him someone else's milk. Pretty sure she now thinks I'm a weirdo, bit whatever. The offer is there.

Beautiful day! It got a little hot when the slight breeze died but we still had a great time. I love places were ds can run around safely (no cars, etc) and touch things. The cousins have a membership and invited us to come anytime. I'm definitely going to take them up on it. It was pretty amazing. Although some of the sculptures were pretty weird.

ellabee those pictures are so so precious! And he looks like he's 2 in that last one! judyblume14 let us know how the potty training goes. I'm trying to pump myself up to Pt DS but I'm dreading it big time.

carrots, PT is going pretty well. Every time she has started to pee, she's told us and we've gotten her to the toilet. Pooped on the toilet once. Screamed about not wantijng to sit on the potty twice. Woke up dry from last night and today's nap. But I think that's coincidence, not training at this point. My husband has stayed cool, I have lost my temper once. But it was over her being an ass, not potty training. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

We have friends coming over today of course it all depends on their kids naps as to when they will come over. That is annoying and I bet it will be later in the afternoon as E is napping and getting ready for bed.

Happy Sunday everyone!!
Me and H went on our first date in forever and it was great. We went to a wine bar and got the best food. (Goose fat fries for the win!) And we got to reconnect and talk about things other than work and Q. This was much needed and I feel so much more connected.
Today I dropped H off to watch planet of the apes while I do a target run with Q.
