I’ve been reading all week but always seem to get distracted when I want to check in.
Between the snow and having Josie home and remote all week things just seem to be slipping by me.
Last Friday I was on the phone and making dinner (so multi-tasking just a little too much) and I somehow made a cloth napkin get sucked down our downdraft. The repair person just left and I was basically holding my breath the entire time thinking that the whole system was going to have to be replaced, but a couple of extra long snakes of the vent and he was able to pull it out with our system still completely intact. Thank goodness!

Morning. I forgot to tell you guys this yesterday. In the afternoon I was working on moving the mattress down in the crib because V can pull up on things, and broke a big hole in the side 🤦🏻♀️. So now we are getting a new crib. I purchased it from target so I just need to go pick it up later. I have nothing really planned for the day, just hanging out with the kids.

Morning, barely slept last night, the girls were both up a lot. Then I woke up and got a text about appointments for vaccines available, so I snagged one for my mom next weekend. Unfortunately sold out before my dad/sm could sign up. I'm quite proud of myself though! I feel like I've done enough for the day, so kind of neglecting work at this point 😂

Morning.
Work isn’t bad and I’m so happy it’s Friday. I’m looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. I forgot to get toilet paper at Costco last weekend and each bathroom is on it’s last roll, so I really need to go grab some. I also need to hit up the post office to send something certified. If I can make those stops today and get it done, I’m calling it a win. Takeout on the menu for dinner, just have to figure out what.

Happy Friday!
I'm exhausted. Evie woke me up at 2am, wanting a drink of water. Got up, got it for her, asked her if I needed to lay with her, of course I did. 215, I tried to get up, she rolled over and looked at me, laid back down. 230, I tried to get up, she rolled over and looked at me, I told her she needed to get some goddamn sleep (not my proudest mom moment, but I was tired), went in to use the bathroom, came back in and laid down with her. 245, my dog came in her room, started whining, so I got up and let her out. While I was standing at the door, Evie got up, saw me, and jumped back into her bed. I let the dog in, went and told Evie to just come to our bed, that I can't be up all night waiting for her to sleep. She followed me to our room and told me to get in, so she could sleep on the outside. I told her no, if she is sleeping with us, she is sleeping in the middle. Which she finally did. But she tossed and turned until at least 330. I told her to close her eyes and fall asleep or she was going to her room.

Holy shit has this been a long week. TGIF. I'm in the office today. My boss finally let us have 3 days at home most weeks and 1 in the office. I'm not thrilled Friday is my in-office day, but I'll probably leave early and finish up at home since it's usually a ghost town around here Fridays.
I ordered new snow bibs and boots for M and they arrived so we might head to the mountain this weekend if they got fresh snow. Last time the snow was pretty old and hard.

mwhip, Maddie told me she messaged Evie the other night. She was very impressed to be texting to someone from KS. I guess it's almost like a modern day pen pal thing. She's so obsessed with Messenger she sends me ridiculous messages all day long from within the house.

My dog is an asshole and barked a million damn times last night. I'm so tired. Thankfully it didn't wake up the kids. I already got my work out in and have been jamming to early 90s rock all morning.
My friend that carpools with me is coming over with her kids tonight for wine & pizza. M is very excited to play school with someone that will listen. H apparently sucks at it.

tgrimes, that sounds fun. I'm a total putz and have been getting horrible sleep lately because of my dog. I don't have it in my heart to kick her out of our room. She used to sleep between MH and I and wanted to spoon against me with her paws toward MH. That was ok but she's been moving closer and closer against me to the point I basically have no room in the bed. I try to stake my claim when I first go to bed but as I shift positions as the night goes on she encroaches closer and closer and leans against me more. Last night I slept on the couch to have a break from her. I got glorious sleep. It's a sectional so she eventually came out looking for me but she was on the other end of the L so she could be near me without taking up all of my space.

This is my monthly subscription. I get 3 bows and an extra each month for $12. Sometimes, like this month, it's a 4th bow. Sometimes a mommy wrap, a toy, whatever she feels like. I should get my girls some bows... dd would love it. I get all nylons because it's hit or miss if she'll let me put her hair up. But my bow lady is awesome and sent me the link to the clips she uses. So I just cut the nylon and slip a clip in and don't have to replace the bow.  |
