SSDD. I picked up some clear plastic storage containers from Target today. Hopefully this week/weekend I can get better organized now that I have shelves in the laundry room. I get a little tingle at the idea of organizing. I cleaned out the built ins this morning (mostly puzzles and books) but it looks so nice and clean. Organizing has always been my sister's idea of a great time. I did not inherit that gene, however I've been loving it recently. Clutter has been making my anxiety worse recently so I've actually enjoyed doing it this time.

lahdeedah, my understanding is that recovery is worse for an adult than a child. I had mine out at 18 but I don't recall it being horrible. I get just as many colds as anyone else though. C definitely gets less colds than before he got his out. I think he was only sick once last year and it was the flu. Prior to that he was a snot factory all winter with colds and strep. Thanks. I was just curious. I think I’m getting everything from M2 who is still in daycare. The kids don’t wear masks there right now, so I’m sure they are passing around germs still. I hope after he is out of daycare, we all see less colds in the winter months.

My cleaning lady has Covid. She is ok, she said she has mild symptoms. But... my house is a mess lol. She knows when she got it and it was someone she was with the day after she was last here so I am not concerned about her having been in my house. I hope she's okay. She is totally fine. She said she has another test later this week but she tested positive last Tuesday and her only symptom has been fatigue. She only got tested b/c a friend was positive.

It has gotten to be a little borderline OCD but it helps my anxiety, since it's something I can control.

@klongoria, your post was missing as I was reading. I hope your mom is okay and that a few doctor’s visits can help her feel better.

I went to target and found a bra I'm going to try. Also found MJ a Moana doll. I met my cousin and her girls there. We got coffee and whipped cream for the kids and just wandered around target. She found evidence this morning that her fiance is cheating and wanted to be gone when he got home from working a night shift. So we've been at my moms. About to grab M from the bus and then get MJ down for a nap.

Morning. I have a tickle in my throat that will surely drive me crazy today. I’m mildly congested, too. Fun, fun. 😒 Is tonsil removal a thing in adults? I do the most for my immune system and it’s still crap. I have been wondering if I took my tonsils out if I would have as many colds throughout the year. It is but recovery is terrible. My sister had hers out a couple years ago because of recurrent strep and she really struggled.

Hey, normal day here. I had to take V in for her 2nd flu shot after dropping S at school. It didn’t go to badly. Then I rounded up all of my maternity tops and dropped them off on a friend’s porch. I don’t need them anymore so it felt good to get them out of my closet. I have to work tonight otherwise nothing else going on.

I hate the anticipation of organizing. I procrastinate. But the reward is so worth it. The only time I don't mind purging is when it's my clothes. They are meticulously organized so it's super easy to go through and select the donate items. The girls' clothes on the other hand...not so quick and easy.

I've also heard recovery from tonsil surgery is harder when an adult. I was a weirdo child and apparently had a yearning for illness. One of my favorite Little Golden Books was about a girl who has her tonsils removed and I really wanted to have surgery and suck on ice chips like that girl. I was also oddly jealous of kids who injured a leg and had crutches because I really wanted crutches. Adult me looks back and goes wtf.

MH took the boys to get haircuts when he got off. So nice to have a couple hours to myself, so I started Bridgerton. I want to watch another episode, but I need to workout real quick so I can start dinner.

I do the most for my immune system and it’s still crap. I have been wondering if I took my tonsils out if I would have as many colds throughout the year. Anecdotal but B has had maybe 2 colds since having his tonsils removed almost 3 years ago, and he used to get them pretty frequently. We didn't have it done for that reason but I do believe it helped. That said, I have heard it's way worse of a recovery for adults than kids eta: I see this has all been covered!

I'm sorry joelies , that's tough. LOL at wanting your tonsils out inthekitty . I remember the Brady Bunch re-run where the girls got theirs out and it did seem very glamorous! I was ridiculously healthy as a kid and was always jealous of friends who missed school (not super sick, just out for a couple days with a bug or whatever) and came back and a huge fuss was made over them yummeecookee Your beautiful christmas card arrived today...postmarked 12/24. Way to go, USPS!

The ballet class today was super cute. Two take-aways: Ballet teachers probably aren't paid enough, and they have the patience of a saint (Shout-out to tgrimes!) Miss Heather has two sayings (which C has started repeating): "No shenanigans" and "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." Words to live by--I think I want to needlepoint them on pillows. B has been very emotional lately, it's a bit exhausting. I think it's a combo fo being tired at the end of the day, getting hangry, and missing DH. But man. I feel like i have a teenager. We had some very dramatic door-slamming yesterday.

flamingo, will say I definitely enjoyed chick fil a. Loved the polynesian sauce. However, do not think it'd wait in like a 40min line to get it. I hear that's the norm for CFA!?!?

I’ve waited in some long CFA lines, and still out in 20 min or less. Yours is new, so they may still be working out the kinks. Pro-tip: get the app. You get points for purchases that go towards free stuff and it’s my favorite way to order these days. I place the order on the app, pull up in a spot, they bring my food out to me. No waiting in lines. Best. I’ve waited much longer for trash food elsewhere in way shorter lines. #neveragain

Does anyone let their N13er use messenger kids? I've gotten a few requests from parents doe L to connect with a classmate but I'm not sure I want him on any type of social media, regardless of how transparent it seems. But I don't want him to miss out on social interaction either :/ Evie uses it, but its mainly for contacting the grandparents. The only kid she communicates with on it is @smilz L and they just share drawings occasionally. You have to approve how they have access to talk to and get weekly reports with why they talk to.

Eta: they don't have profiles or anything and can't connect with anyone with out our approval
