Has anyone tried Imposters? It’s a scripted bravo show that Netflix just picked up. Two seasons. I love it so much. Almost done with season one, and really can’t wait to see where it’s going. It’s darkly funny. No but I'll be adding it to my list since you and I seem to like the same shows.

lahdeedah, Nashville was the proposed location of our next gtg, so at least you won't have to travel very far when we actually have the gtg!

I’m glad they offered your husband some thing, lahdeedah. Do you have to start househunting soon? tgrimes, I hope your grandpa is okay! Yep. We’ll probably go there for a few days week of spring break at the beginning of March. I’ll also have to start getting my house ready for selling. I have a few things to touch up next month before we put it on the market.

MH just called me. Bad news is that Germany not happening...yet. He was told they usually go with people who are already in the company and they probably have someone in mind already. But that just means we may have a shot down the road. Good news is that they offered him the job he interviewed for last week. I didn’t want to go to this particular location, but he feels this is the right location to get acclimated to this world. It’s an hour north of Nashville. I’m not thrilled and would rather be in NC, but that may not be the best situation for him going into this brand new. Hopefully this is just a step to get us closer to living abroad in the next few years. Um you'll be like 4 hours from me!

Hi!
After getting the kids off the school I ran to Target and then my mom and I went to a big furniture store. We need...so much, and it's going to take time, but I wanted to have a ballpark of what we're looking at down the road. C and I hit the grocery store after school and we're now back home putting together DH's Valentine's pkg so I can get that mailed off.

lahdeedah Congrats on him finding something! Sorry it isn't Germany, but that it is helping you continue that goal is awesome! tgrimes I hope your H's grandpa continues to be symptom free! chrisy01 I hope you're starting to feel better! Fingers crossed for C guster, hopefully it's just a cold. I didn't drink that much while watching the football game last night, but damn, I feel like I did! Probably lack of sleep the entire weekend, plus stress. But I'm so happy the Chiefs are going to the Super Bowl again! Obligatory 'Fuck Tom Brady.' Sorry to C about that wedding. I'm sure he was excited about that!

I was gone all day at DD‘s gymnastics meet yesterday, 6 hours in my car between the drive and sitting there for the whole meet. She did well but we don’t know how she placed because they are mailing awards to their gym later this week. inthekitty please tell me how you take your rats out without losing them. I’m terrified of the mice running away so we only let them out in the plastic ball that they can run in.

She did well but we don’t know how she placed because they are mailing awards to their gym later this week. inthekitty please tell me how you take your rats out without losing them. I’m terrified of the mice running away so we only let them out in the plastic ball that they can run in. They're still a little bit naughty when they just have open floor to play on (don't always come when called), but for the most part if they're somewhere like on the bed or couch that has boundaries, they'll scurry around but come back to us. You just have to test it out a bit and see how they respond. When I was a kid I had hamsters and those jerks constantly ran away. Usually if we're in the living room I'll sit on my recliner with one and have blanket. They like to climb on me and run around under the blanket. They love to have little places to hide and not necessarily be out in the open so having something with you they can climb in will make them happy. The girls wear a lot of hooded sweatshirts now and they'll climb in the pocket or the hood. The kids could also make them little obstacle courses or mazes with cardboard boxes as a way to play out of the cage without them escaping. When they do explore reward them with a treat (like a Cheerio or small piece of fruit) when they return to you to help reinforce it. Rats also like to hang out on your shoulder and they will sit there a long time. Mice might do that too. One of them can escape from the cage but she always goes back in it. She likes to sleep in M's dresser and if M doesn't see her in the cage she checks the dresser and so far she's been there every time.

I'm working for my other job today and I see that zero of the changes I made to our tracker actually made it into the system they've been using. Really feels like my work is worthwhile.

lahdeedah is that Ft. Campbell? I've known a couple people who have been there over the years. I'm sorry you guys didn't get your first choice pick but glad it sounds like this will just be a starting point and more options available down the road. Fx you eventually get Germany. I really wanted to go there years ago but was sent to GA instead. It worked out. When you start house hunting be sure to share here. #floorplansaremyporn

This whole pandemic has shown how many childish morons are out there. It's not like they don't know the reason for the curfew or understanding how it's spread is that difficult to grasp. I read an article yesterday about a teacher in GA who died of Covid. His dying wish was for people to wear masks and the school board still refuses. Human garbage.

So while we wait for Charlie’s test results, the doctor told us everyone but Charlie goes about normal life — Josie and MHs to school and me to errands if I need to. But I couldn’t figure out how to pick up Josie from school today without bringing Charlie so I called her school and asked if I could get her at a different entrance bc of the situation. They agreed and then asked me to talk to the school nurse. Apparently school policy is a child has to quarantine from school while someone in their family is awaiting results. Which I am fine with, bc I know things are ever-changing, but I didn’t know ‘til a little before ten that Charlie had to be tested and Josie spent ALL day at school. MHs school doesn’t have this policy. I wish things could be consistent. I can’t shake the feeling I did something wrong even though I know that I didn’t.

That's stressful guster. It would be so much easier if we had over arching guidance but that ship has apparently sailed. My new manager made a comment last week along the lines of if we all need to get on a plane and meet in Calgary to get on the same page, then so be it. I was blinky guy at that. Um, good luck getting the bank to okay travel let alone getting into Canada as a US citizen. How are people still trying to act like things are normal??

For some reason, I am not feeling it. I think it’s the location. I’m so done being in all red areas. 😩 I also am also one who goes with my gut and energy with these decisions and it just doesn’t feel right for me. But everything worked right and fel into place during the transition here and here I am two years later, so what do I know??

She said a lot of singles lived near Exit 4 and that's where all the chain restaurants are. The proximity to Nashville was nice. The military hospital is a bit disorganized, but not the worst she's been at. She mentioned that the non-medical side of the force is toxic, but likely for your husband being a civilian it probably wouldn't be too bad.

MH's grandfather has covid. He's not sick yet but he fell at the nursing home and when they took him to the hospital to check for broken bones, they tested him. No broken bones but they're keeping him to monitor. I have no idea what the protocol would be for sending him back to the nursing home though. He's 92 so I hope he'll be okay. I hope he gets well quickly

Conferences went well, as I was expecting. H is an angel and very smart at school, so that she can come home and be a giant brat. Yay for a job offer lahdeedah! I hope you really like it there. inthekitty it’s super frustrating doing all that work for basically nothing.
