I think I’m buying an elliptical today. I’m so tired of not being able to go to the gym. Never thought I’d say that. I have one, just a cheap one from Academy. I love having one at home. I'd like to upgrade this one soon though.

Unless I stick it in the middle of my living room. We had it in the corner of the living room until DS was old enough to start messing with it. Now it's in my bedroom.

I’m at work this weekend but the first night of toddler bed went great! Went down easy then not a peep all night. I heard him stirring as I was heading out the door just before 7. He’s so easy-going (most of the time), it’s a dramatic difference to DS1 at that age lol. DS is 2.5 next week and still in his crib 😬. I'm looking forward to not having to lift him in and out of a crib but also scared of him having free reign lol. I'm just leaving him in it until he tries to climb out.

I guess there’s a bonus to being at work, I just made myself a delicious breakfast sammie.

Old co-workers are coming to have lunch with a current coworker today. I altruistically scheduled myself for the earlier lunch so the rest of the staff can eat and catch up while they are here
But really I don't want to have lunch with them.

Ds2 was in the crib until he was 4....and then he cried when we converted it to a toddler bed.

pobre, I feel the same way about the gym. I miss it so much. I am strongly a group exercise person (love cardio dance classes). I need other people and their energy. I’ve been running outside and it’s......not my favorite 😬

I’m on day 4 of gallbladder surgery recovery and attempting a coffee today. I had a headache from lack of caffeine so I’m hoping any GI situations today are worth the headache being gone.
But otherwise I’m having the loveliest recovery. MH has fully stepped up and I’m getting meals served to me etc. I guess the surgeon told him to let me mostly rest through the weekend and MH is taking it very seriously.

I have a date tonight. I’m looking forward to a good steak dinner. Hopefully the guy won’t be so bad, too. Lol.

That’s what I did with the twins (and DS1). DS1 was surprisingly great with it. The twins... well let’s just say I thought we had it as baby proof as possible and every night it seemed like I was removing one more item that I thought was safe that they proved was not 😂🤷🏻♀️

My older son was in the crib until he was almost 4. Partly bc we didn’t want him free range and partly because he wanted it. In one period of ridiculousness the first (second?) time we tried, we’d taken the front off the crib and he screamed and yelled and came downstairs every 2 hours all night for a couple nights and we were like “knock it off or we’ll out the front back on the crib” and he didn’t so we put the front back on and as soon as it’s done, he said, as sweet as pie “Thank you, mommy” like the little lovable psycho he is.

I’m trying to get my crap together today with some meal prep/planning and general organizing. I haven’t felt well for a week (better now though!) and H leaves for a work trip tomorrow so I need to get it together.

willow I’m sorry for the unexpected expense. Something to think about is leaving your faucets running lowly all the time so you don’t have burst pipes too.

My 2.5 year old DS is also still in his crib. I would keep him there forever if we didn't already have his bed taking up space elsewhere in the house. We are going to move him over president's weekend so we can get rid of the crib for good.
