I applied for my firearm license and am looking for a shooting range that won’t require NRA membership (bc absolutely not).

This country scares me and it’s time to become a responsible gun owner.*

*I will take all safety courses, obviously keep it in an appropriate safe, unloaded. Let us limit the horse shit.

If you want any help/advice on things like a safe and etc, feel free to pm me and I will help you with what knowledge I do have.  I'm not a pro by any means but I've been around them for a while now and have some opinions.

I am really girly in most things, but I do not get the appeal of a pink gun.  For me, having one will be for protection, not to show off, or play with.  If I am going to have a gun it will not be cute.  It will certainly not be something that I would want a child to pick up and think that it was not real because it is "cute".

My confession is that Every time we talk about doughnuts I can never remember if it’s dunkin or Krispy Kreme the one we have here. I find doughnuts to be the same no matter what the chain so maybe that’s why. It’s all the same to me.

Wasp spray is better than mace.  You can use it from further away and it will send them to the ER (more likely to get caught) instead of just waiting for it to stop burning.  I've never personally used it but I have read it as a tip many times.

For sure. Stiff wind will blow it back in your eyes. However mace is more of a stream of liquid than a spray

Before they went full nationwide franchise and made their donuts in house they were bomb. Now they are mass produced and trash.

We have a pizza shop here that also has a donut shop.  I don't know if they still do but they used to get their dough from Kennedy's in Cambridge.  I love getting the donuts locally but anytime we head north in the mornings we will swing by Kennedy's for some donuts.  The kids get a kick out of seeing the goofy cookies, cupcakes, and everything in there.  And their shit is amazing.  MIL and FIL used to drive for the pizza shop and go pick up dough and bring it down.  MIL said it was in giant trash bags and they had to stop half way back to pound the dough down where it was rising in the trunk.  That's been a few years though.  I'm sure they have better ways or just make their own dough by now. lol

These are my single thoughts on the aesthetic of a gun. Get the one that makes you "happy". And I say "happy" in quotes because I know many here don't find any appeal in firearms at all despite feeling the urge to get one anyway. I am going to assume that you all would be exercising safe storage in it's highest regard and that a child stumbling upon your firearm and thinking it's a toy because it's pink will be practically non-existent because you'll have it safely locked up in a manner that they cannot get to it, unloaded, etc. So if you're going to get one and it being pink makes you feel a little better, get a pink one.
