So, this morning I was trying to come up with a list of stuff that has to be done before baby arrives and I feel like I'm definitely forgetting stuff/have no clue about some stuff. Has anyone found any websites or anywhere where they have like a list of stuff you should try to do before bringing baby home? I think I have gotten most of the big stuff out of the way (nursery set up, washing the clothes, etc), I'm just worried there's little things I'm forgetting or don't even know about.

I can't remember if I referred to a website the first time, but the hospital where I delivered had a helpful list when I pre-registered.
Other things that I did: - Having a core contact list of people when I was in the hospital (mostly so I could limit who was told right away) - Contacted insurance company for breast pump - Made a few freezer meals - Had my documents together (insurance card, baby book, FMLA paperwork copies, etc.) - Schedule for people to walk/feed my dog, now this includes toddler care
I made padsicles but didn't end up using them.

happyfeet9, thank you. That is a super helpful list, and I hadn't thought of a lot of those things, especially the contact list and the freezer meals, must do those!!!

Here are a few things I've done that aren't the normal "get everything ready in the room, wash clothes, etc" -Yeah I've done a ton of freezer meals (I have the list on my fridge) plus some mixes for pancakes and stuff. -I have the contact info for work since I have to write them immediately to get the baby on my insurance. -Bassinet put together ready to go. -Started the baby book

Chiming in with figuring out a pediatrician, we had to have it setup ahead of giving birth.

I have a few more things to add to bag, but the major stuff is in there. Also I will +1 the freezer meals. My box freezer is full of things now. Also don't forget your birth plan if you are bringing it.

Haven't packed it yet but it seems like it would be a very good idea to get one done ASAP lol. I just don't really know what to put in it other than the nursing pj gown I bought and some nursing tank tops I have cuz I wear the same five shirts and two pairs of shorts every day lol

Unless I want to do laundry twice as often as I do now LOL. I did put everything that I want to pack and could put aside already together in one place. Figured that if we end up at the hospital earlier then expected all MH or I or whoever has to do is toss that in a bag and grab whatever else we need still at a later point? Maybe I'm winging it too much but that's how things are right now lol!

I started putting stuff together in one spot for our hospital bad about a week ago, but I'm waiting on some final items to come that will go in there. My hubby is so sweet and got me a new travel bag. I was going to use an old, beat up one that we've had for the longest time. I kept asking him to get it down for me, but he kept putting it off which was starting to annoy me, but now I know why. Hah! He's so sweet and it made me cry when he gave it to me. Gotta love those hormones!

Oh and things that I was glad to have done before my daughter arrived were:
- Having all of our laundry done, including sheets and towels. - Having plenty of water on hand (if you're weird like me and don't like tap water). - Not sure if it was nesting, but the whole house had to be cleaned and stay that way. Such a challenge to keep up, but I loved coming back to a clean home!
After baby was born, I scheduled her first pedi visit, added her to insurance, and scheduled her newborn pics. We did all this while still at the hospital and it wasn't too hard to handle.

I cleaned the house this weekend and I wish it would stay this way 😭 It worked out so perfectly with DS2 that I happened to change our bedding the day before I went into labor with him so we came home to clean sheets 😍
I picked up miniature toiletries this weekend and am packing my hospital bag tomorrow. I had my bag packed at like 30 weeks for DS1, DS2 I didn't have a bag ready at all and went into labor at 37+3 and waddled around the house throwing stuff in a backpack before we left for the hospital. Anticipating to be a little more prepared this go around.

I also lucked out with going into labor after a full day of cleaning and laundry. I was determined to get it done because I was one week out from my EDD and didn't want to worry about it after that day. I had cleaned the whole house, did all our laundry, and finished washing all of the last baby items. Right as I was finishing things up is when I started getting back to back contractions and ended up going to the hospital late that evening. This time, I want to have our hospital bags completely ready to go. I kept getting on my hubby to get his stuff together and he of course procrastinated, so he was running around trying to get all of his things together when I was so ready to get to the hospital. He was in a panic and kept forgetting things and had to go back several times. I was beyond frustrated! All I needed to grab were my essential last minute things like toiletries. I think this time around, I'll be like unicornsparkles and use travel sized items so all I have to do is literally grab the bag and go.
