Work is so slow. I mean it's slow but on a Friday it's just emphasized. Working hard to look busy.
I'm going out to Mariano's grocery store for lunch. Picking up something to make for dinner. And contemplating getting the made-right-in-front-of-you guac for lunch.

Morning! DS has dragged me into the playroom again, so I had him help me straighten up a little. He keeps running into the living room and telling me "no, playroom!" if I come out.
At least he lets me sit and watch him play. I've been crampy all week and today I'm sore all over from having to pump water out of the basement yesterday.

I'm wfh but really working at the library because home is where the toddler, baby and H are (and I wouldn't be able to get anything done). I lucked out here getting a big table to spread all my stuff out that I need for the project. I feel much better when I'm working to have my stuff out in front me instead of having to constantlyreach into my bag to take stuff out. I'll be here for a while, then home, then out for dinner for a friend's bday. It's only the girls tonight and I'm excited to go out!

littlelion, I used to work at a restaurant where we made tableside guacamole. Even though I now make it at home, and I know what a pain it is to do when you have a million other tables to take care of, I still order it whenever I can. billmurray, I always have grandiose plans of working from home from somewhere else, but I've yet to actually do it. It seems like a nice change of scenery. I have 3 goals for the day: 1) Complete my mid-year review 2) Get out of the house and grab tacos for lunch 3) Make it to "gold" with the new member standings.

We went for a walk early this morning while it was still cool. After morning nap I'm going to pick up Starbucks for myself and we'll go spend some time at a shady park.
My parents have been away for 11 days and they're coming back tonight, so I'm looking forward to that! Normally we kill some time every day by going to their place or them coming over here, so I've been finding it harder coming up with things to do outside the house with them gone.
I have multiple forms to print and submit today. I'm putting that here so that I make myself actually do it lol.

My mom babysits L while I work on school stuff but whenever I try to do it at home I get nothing done. I go to the library so I can spread all of my books out and get into a clearer headspace.

We need more shady parks here. You would think with our hot summers in OK that they would have built more that way, but...nope. They're all in the middle of a damn flat treeless field in the baking 100°F sun. ::shakes fist::
Nothing to report here. She slept in my bed AGAIN last night. She's napping now and I'm eating a lemon bar the size of my head. Tomorrow is a bachelorette pool party but it might rain, because Oklahoma is an asshole when it comes to the weather. But it's been so hot and dry maybe we'll all just stand in the rain by the pool anyway.

fuzzylogic, I mean, as long as you're going to be wet anyway, might as well be IN the pool in the rain.

The guac was awesome...too many chips though...it's my weakness.
We've started the financial planning for next year. First due date is in 2 weeks. Next week 1 mgr is out on vacation, the following week the main mgr is out and I'm out half that week (analyst). It's always so stressful this time of the year. I almost said I could WFH instead but that can be disastrous with my 2 kids home with me.

billyhorrible, I don't even own a swimsuit lol. I am not a pool person, more like the person who sits on the side with her feet in the water. Maxi dress for me! And drinks. Plenty of 'em.

fuzzylogic I didn't realize you were in OK! I used to go to Tulsa a lot for business - the weather was always so unpredictable, especially in the summer. I remember the flat, hot, expanses of land too. Not enough trees! It's already the weekend over here. Not a whole lot planned for the weekend, but we're excited to be receiving the keys for our new permanent place on Monday! Wohoo! The executive stay place has been a nice solution for the past 2 months (since our old place was attacked by bugs), but it hasn't really felt like home. I can't wait to get all of our stuff out of storage and get settled into the new permanent living space. 😀

Taitai, yeah, and Tulsa is actually in what they call "Green Country" so it's a lot more wooded and humid than here. My sister lives there now and said a few weeks ago the humidity was over 90%. It was like rain, but without the rain. Plenty of our state (and OKC) has lots of trees, but they just had some poor decision-making skills when it came to playgrounds! Of course, the closest shady playground to me is usually covered in spider webs, because it's under a bunch of trees...so maybe that's why lololololol Oklahoma.

BH's art desk came in a giant box. So I turned it into a fort for the kids while they were at preschool.
I'm currently curled up in it, drinking a beer and watching a movie with DH. (He's on the couch)
