I just caught the baby rocking on all fours before she flopped forward! Combination yes! and stop getting so big! 😱

Outside morning plans are on hold due to storms. Boo.

I'm on a school bus on the way to the zoo. I agreed to chaperone the daycare field trip. I'm pretty excited to see DD experience the zoo. We went last year but I don't think she remembers it much.

As a chaperone I'm in charge of DD and her best friend.
It's so adorable to see them sit on the bus together and hear what they talk about.

I pumped before we left and will pump when we get home, but it will still ~4.5hrs in between. Not ideal but I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

I'm getting blood drawn this afternoon and have to fast. i was going to have half-a-banana for breakfast this morning. but my big girl took a big bite of it. So really, all I've eaten today is one bite of banana. I'm crabby.

This morning's decently restful sleep was brought to you by infant advil.. DD is working on her two bottom teeth and the night before last was awful!!

Other than that, it's cleaning and grocery shopping. DH has one of his old coworkers (from his fresh out of college job) coming over for dinner. This coworker and his wife are in the process of relocating to our new area so we're reconnecting.

Q is really getting a personality and it is so fun to watch. I am off this weekend and I am so excited!!! Hopefully the weather will be nice. We have been wanting to go to the park but like Lakes the weather has been miserable.

I'm home with a sleeping R. We decided to divide and conquer today so mh took dd to the beach and I'm going to run errands with R when he wakes up.
Things are a little tense around here because mh and I have a difference in parenting styles. He had the monitor last night so he got up with the kids. When I came out r and dd were both still in their night time diapers and r was fussing because he was hungry. And what was mh doing, making scrambled eggs, for him and dd, who doesn't like eggs. Did I mention R has a pretty bad diaper rash? We just have different priorities sometimes.

Zoo was so much fun! Here's DD. They did a tie dye craft with all the kids last week so they were all in matching shirts.

meeggaannw, I feel your pain in the parenting department. I'm lucky if H bothers to get them dressed into CLEAN clothes. I swear, he just grabs whatever and doesn't even pay attention. But like, how???? *sigh*

Lakes, W is doing the same thing!! It's making for a grumpier baby because he gets so frustrated but omg. Stop. But also, don't.

Wooo! Brad Paisley concert tonight! So excited for a girls night out but also cautious. My parents are keeping the kids for the night so that H can study for his exam tomorrow morning which is great. I'm anxious about how tonight will go for me, though. I'm going with a couple coworkers and one of them is bringing her sister. The one bringing a sister is the one that eats crackers for me. Like, I'm trying really hard to stop disliking her so much but she makes it so easy. I'm much more okay with her when it's just us but goddamn. That girl gets around anything with a penis and she acts like she hasn't had sex in ten years.

DH is going to the vacation house tonight and tomorrow night to oversee some electrical work. He took an amazon package and threw it in his truck. Why? No clue. It had the birthday present for the bday party I'm taking both kids to tomorrow by myself. Ugh. Not cool DH not cool. Now I either come empty handed or fit in a target run tomorrow.

It was so busy at work. E was fussy when I came home. She went to bed easily thought and I got to clean 3 of the 4 bathrooms and cleaned the kitchen. I'm so tired I should get to bed early I probably won't.

I've hit my vacation limit and I'm so ready to head home tomorrow and sleep in my own bed in my own room without my children and their sound machines. And without my ILs. Crossing all the fingers that the drive goes ok tomorrow but even if it doesn't, I'm glad we'll have Sunday to recover.

inomniaparatus, I think we're right behind you on the bottom teeth. I can see lumps on the front of her gums, nothing yet ontop but I'm sure soon.

ambiguousmango, I agree it's so fun to watch their little personalities develop! C makes me laugh so hard sometimes

meeggaannw, I'm sorry YH didn't think about the diaper first. I can say, at least he got them up? I know this is supposed to be 50/50, but in our house parenting is very 90/10, but MH has been good about cleaning so there's that.

ellabee, there is nothing wrong with an extra target run. It's returning to Amazon that'll suck

So, tonight is Cs first night in her crib. She took a while to fall asleep, but she did eventually. She's been squeaking, squawking and yelling after her 4ish am wakeup for a few days and I just can't anymore. I'm hoping being in her room gives her no audience to chatter to and gives us all a little better sleep.

That said, we did a nap this afternoon to test it out, and she felt so far away her room is literally across the hall from ours, but, well, it has to happen some time I guess.
