WD-40 is superior to non stick cooking spray. Ugh those chemicals though, that smell. Blech. That's what perfectly silent doors smell like.

And no one gets that trashed intentionally before having dinner with their parents. OK I've developed my own theory and solved the mystery. Why would the hotel quietly transport the kids to a hospital further away than necessary without alerting the parents? I think the hotel was running an extortion scheme with a local medical facility. Intentionally drugging and/or injuring guests and taking them to the corrupt medical center where they would extort money from the tourist before providing any medical care and then give the hotel a cut of the money. I think the hotel decided to make these kids their mark when they checked in but accidentally took it too far and killed one of them, leaving them unable to commit the extortion as planned. This general idea crossed my mind, too, although I did not have the details worked out. But the fact that the kids were taken to a hospital so far, when another one was closer to the resort, was sketchy for sure. I'd be interested to know re: the other couple mentioned in the story--they woke up in the hotel room and the husband's hand was broken--what hospital were they taken to? eta: just re-read and it said they were told to go to the hospital and take cash...wonder if it was the same out-of-the-way clinic?

Does anyone else use no stick cooking spray on their door hinges to stop the squeaking? MH always laughs at me saying I'm the only person in the world who does this, I can't be. Wild Friday night over here. FML. I use cocintnijk. Mcocumut oil. Fuck it, I😆😆m drunk.

vino I use WD-40 on my squeaky things. Generally it's a rare occurrence though.

Hi! I've done terrible at keeping up this week. I'm mentally and physically exhausted and I'm just trying to stay afloat. Sending all the love, well wishes and support to everyone. ❤️ Everything ok? We're here for you on this fine Friday evening Just feel off. And I know I need a break so I asked DH if we could get a hotel tomorrow night but we just bought jays tickets for the end of the month so he would rather not spend money on a hotel room. I'm fortunate that my parents live with us and they help a lot with N the weekends but I just need space. I've taken on a lot more at work since I'm now the "senior clerk" which isn't much actual work but it's a lot of chasing people and fixing others errors. I actually debated bringing home the packing slips and PODs so I could do the matching this weekend that way they could be filed first thing Monday. I dislike filing as it is... but once I'm overwhelmed I avoid like crazy. (Everything in life really) so I need to get ahead. ....and that was more then I thought I had to say.

In productivity we call this phenomenon that you're talking about being paralyzed. Statistically, if you do it (the thing you're behind on or dreading) first thing in the morning, even if it's only for a short while, you'll get more done and feel better for the rest of the day. We call it "eating your frog for breakfast".

I'm sorry cheeksmum I hope you're able to get some space this weekend. Even for a nice walk or you know, a flight to me! I've got a lovely spare room with new blinds, a beautiful deck to drink on and now a magnet screen to get onto said deck 😘

I like the pic of Bey, too. The names aren't my favorite, but it's her kids, so whatever. I "this bitched" her when I saw it on IG in the wee hours of the morning while pumping. She had twins and her stomach is still flatter than mine. You can pay for it too, girl. One of my friends was like... Y'all see that tummy tuck navel?? 😂

I busted my butt doing chores when J was down for naps today, installing and new blind in the spare room, cleaning up the yard from the neighbours tree that he wont cut Grrrrr, washing the siding on the house in an area and tidying up the garage. So tonight I get to sit... Or i might put up one of those magnet screens for the back door, anyone have one of those? I imagine the kids and cats coming and going as they please but in reality they might just stop as if it was a door and still need me. I have one, sort of. I got the one with the tension rod from Amazon. I tried the magnetic one that someone gave to me and I couldn't get it to stay up. When we moved I got the tension rod one and it's done well. Sometimes M pulls too har on it and it comes down, but I just pop it back up and it's good.

My dad doesn't use those all that much that I can remember. He's a mechanic and pretty handy though so he was always fixing/tinkering with something.

lahdeedah That's the one I have, it has a tension rod at the top, velcro along the side (which I didn't attach) then a couple magnets in the middle. It kind of looks stupid but it'll be nice for the summer, I'm so sick of opening and closing the door.

We are sitting here watching Beachfront Bargain Hunt, or some such, on HGTV. Living the dream, baby...college Flamingo is appalled. Two things: 1) Has anyone heard about the American college student, Abbey Conner, that passed away under weird circumstances while vacationing in Mexico earlier this year? I'm just now seeing this but sounds like it wasn't really publicized much here at the time. Kind of a weird thing, or maybe that's my inner conspiracy theorist talking. www.wwltv.com/news/a-mexican-vacation-a-mysterious-death-and-now-endless-questions-for-family/4561996682) I forget...I'll come back if I think of it. I didn't hear about this! The conspiracy theorist in me says something shady is going on. But their BAC was SO high. That has nothing to do with being slipped a drug. That's from drinking too much. Blacking out is from drinking too quickly. The reasonable bartender in me thinks these kids drank cheap all inclusive booze straight to excess in the hot Mexican sun, without realizing how it would effect them. It's a really sad, bizarre story no matter what.
