I'm sorry. Are you watching in AMC or somewhere else? You knew it couldn't last forever.

We are sitting here watching Beachfront Bargain Hunt, or some such, on HGTV. Living the dream, baby...college Flamingo is appalled. Two things: 1) Has anyone heard about the American college student, Abbey Conner, that passed away under weird circumstances while vacationing in Mexico earlier this year? I'm just now seeing this but sounds like it wasn't really publicized much here at the time. Kind of a weird thing, or maybe that's my inner conspiracy theorist talking. www.wwltv.com/news/a-mexican-vacation-a-mysterious-death-and-now-endless-questions-for-family/4561996682) I forget...I'll come back if I think of it. I read about this yesterday! So weird.... something is definitely fishy. I've been PLeNtY drunk in a pool before, but for both to get so drunk they pass out in the water? And did you read there was like two other cases with eerily similar circumstances, but no one died?

flamingo csho wineallthetime yes to all this! I hang my head in shame at the numerous drunk posts (also usually with sorority sisters in the same room!), and the evasive "I'm so sick of this shit" and "unicorn is.... feeling sad". So ridiculous at 20!!

I busted my butt doing chores when J was down for naps today, installing and new blind in the spare room, cleaning up the yard from the neighbours tree that he wont cut Grrrrr, washing the siding on the house in an area and tidying up the garage.
So tonight I get to sit...
Or i might put up one of those magnet screens for the back door, anyone have one of those? I imagine the kids and cats coming and going as they please but in reality they might just stop as if it was a door and still need me.

The fact that there were similar cases kind of clinched it for me that there is something else going on besides just getting too drunk and passing out/drowning. And that there were injuries involved...that was strange, too.

Basically. Then on the flip side, today on Tiny House Hunters the girl was like, "I want a full-size kitchen, a bathtub, and plenty of storage." The guy only wanted to spend $15K and less than 200sf, and was making the girl pare down her clothing by holding up 2 garments at a time and letting her pick 1 to keep. I do not see that ending well.

And a 6ft tall just from college boy would get drunk as fast as his 130 lb sister, so even if she had gotten that drunk you would think he would have been able to get help. I think it's weird that all the stories involve people meeting a "friendly American couple" and then taking a shot with them, and then.... nothing. Yeah, I fell down the rabbit hole with it a bit yesterday.

I see that ending in divorce and credit card debt and poor life choices.

I'm afraid of it looking cheap, but we have an outside swinging door so any permanent screen door would have to go on the inside, and that would look even worse given the placement of the door. But i guess i can try it, what's the worst that can happen, I have to return it to Home depot.

Does anyone else use no stick cooking spray on their door hinges to stop the squeaking?
MH always laughs at me saying I'm the only person in the world who does this, I can't be.
Wild Friday night over here.
FML.

Yeah, I fell down the rabbit hole with it a bit yesterday. And no one gets that trashed intentionally before having dinner with their parents. OK I've developed my own theory and solved the mystery. Why would the hotel quietly transport the kids to a hospital further away than necessary without alerting the parents? I think the hotel was running an extortion scheme with a local medical facility. Intentionally drugging and/or injuring guests and taking them to the corrupt medical center where they would extort money from the tourist before providing any medical care and then give the hotel a cut of the money. I think the hotel decided to make these kids their mark when they checked in but accidentally took it too far and killed one of them, leaving them unable to commit the extortion as planned. ETA: tag flamingo to weigh in

Wild Friday night over here. FML. We did once because we couldn't find the DW 40 or whatever it's called. Worked like a charm. I thought it was such a great hack.

What gets me is that the people act so shocked that these things are their new reality in a tiny house. Hello?! What did you think you were going to get in 150 sf with no actual plumbing??
