guster- is it in good shape? Would you save it for one of your kids? MH mom passed away when he was a kid and his dad remarried. Their China was sitting in storage. He gifted it to us so we didn't register for any when we got married. It's not what I would have picked out myself, but it's nice enough, and I like the connection that it was his mom's. Just a thought I'm probably going to keep a place setting, at least. Otherwise, I'll wrap it all in bubble wrap and keep it in a box in the basement. This was her original set. She had 3 other patterns in her lifetime. I had no problem donating the others, even though there are far more memories from my lifetime attached to those.

I'm re-organizing a china cabinet, and in the bottom cabinets, I have my mom's wedding china. I don't know what to do with it. I like it, but I won't use it because we have our own fancy china, but I feel heartless getting rid of it. I love a mismatched plate settings, like below. Could that work with it? ETA plus I would love the have my grandma's wedding China ☺️.

I'm on the phone with a realtor discussing listing our house. Maybe I'll just puke.

Especially because our wedding china is white with a platinum/silver colored rim and our everyday stuff is just white, but it's more about being okay with releasing it.

Belated hi! It's been a freakishly busy day at work, but hey, it just makes 5pm come that much quicker.

GL Cher! DH and I are always looking at what's available in town. Our house feels smaller by the day but we're undecided on whether we're better off sizing up or getting a vacation home by the beach/condo in VT. Decisions, decisions!

Thoughts on the first pic of Bey and the twins? And their names? Is the girl name pronounced "rummy" or "roomy"?

His name is Sir, last name Carter...OR Sir Carter Carter. It's still under investigation in the blinds thread, I believe. Rumi, I believe, is pronounced ROOMIE

Happy Friday N has been super clingy and shy lately at drop offs and this week with swimming lessons. Maybe I'm being too hard on her, but it is so frustrating because I feel she is just doing it for the attention. Some days she almost has a smirk on her face when she is whining for me not to go. So Tuesday I started a sticker chart and if she get's 10 stickers by the end of the month she can pick out any toy she wants. She got her sticker Tuesday for happily going in the pool at swimming and doing good at daycare dropoff. She hasn't gotten a sticker since. We talk about it in the car on the way and she says shes going to do it, but then doesn't. And she usually doesn't act this way for DH, just me. Her teacher says she is fine 2 seconds after I leave. I don't know what else to do. I'm thinking of taking her to the store to pick out the toy she will want to use that as more motivation. Am I being too hard on her? You know her better than we do, but for Dude this wouldn't work. If he stalls and clings it's because he genuinely needs a little more connection during the day. My guess is that if that is the case for her, the chart wouldn't be much help. If the chart does work, then you're going to have your answer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This is exactly us. B doesn't like and/or 'get' charts because there are too many things to get stickers for and not get stickers for, if that makes sense l. It seems almost overwhelming to him so then he doesn't pay attention. I have been really mindful to play with him more, we go out for 30 minutes to the yard after dinner/dishes to kick a ball around. I have noticed a world of difference in him. He goes to sleep easier, stays in his bed and acts out less. It's more effort of course, especially at the end of the day but it works for us.

So this is something. My sister and BIL are coming in this weekend for a wedding, and so BIL can interview with an OBGYN practice here, which just so happens to be where I go. I have an appt Monday to have an IUD placed. Just compared notes with my sister and the doctor I see (who is one of the partners) will be in on the interview not 3 hours after seeing me. It's going to take everything I have not to blurt out something awkward, or be like, "vote for [BIL]!" :don't be a weirdo, flamingo, don't be a weirdo: Lol it is all about who you know...granted are you a favorite patient? That could be a deciding factor;)(I'm sure you are!) Haha! So. much. power. (lol, not really...BIL is awesome and will likely have his choice of jobs). kim22 Yes, BIL is an OB-GYN in his chief year, so he'll go into private practice this time next year. They just start the interview process really early out. That's great about the free snowblower--I can safely guarantee your friends will never need it here:) It's such a great area; if you ever make it down for a visit, or your friends need any tips, etc., let me know!
