I am down to two colors to paint my house. We have an open floor plan and wainscoting on half the wall so we would be painting the yellow color above it. We are down to these Benjamin Moore colors: 1)Gray Cloud-on the left 2)Shoreline- on the right Dh likes 1 and I like 2. I think 1 is too blue. vino Shoreline is one lighter than the color you used. Since our house is darker, your color was too dark. Here is a pick of my view from the couch so you have an idea of space. It’s probably 1000 sq ft.

Pfff this is hard. I agree no1 looks blueish, but that could be very pretty against the white!

wedding, What is the color on the walls currently? I want a warm creamy color for the basement, but it’s so far away I haven’t started looking.

wedding , What is the color on the walls currently? I want a warm creamy color for the basement, but it’s so far away I haven’t started looking. I have no idea. It was done by the builder and it is very cheap paint. It also reads very yellow in some light. My mom used Valspar Clay Angel in her house and it is really nice. www.valspar.com/en/colors/browse-colors/lowes/white/clay-angel-7002-1

They're going to have to look up my name because I can't remember the name. But it's Sherwin Williams. But this is a wall in my kitchen. Not baby like at all.

Hands down #1 Gray Cloud. The Shoreline reads brown to me and I much prefer the blue/gray colours to the brown ones. I feel it is such a modern clean look with the white.
Picking paint is hard and esp the gray's, I feel there is a great divide between 'blue/grays' to 'brown/gray'. It's exciting though, either colour you pick will for sure change the look of the house and freshen it up.

wedding, can you get samples and paint squares on different walls? I always do that so I can see in the true paint and in various light.

peachsmama so pretty! that’s exactly the colour I wanted in the nursery, bought four different kinds of paint to reach that tone, struck out each time and then gave up. I now have a very light blue, okay, just not what I wanted.

The grey we chose for basically the whole house except four rooms, reads more Brown grey to me. And I want a blue-grey. But Alex thought all of the blue greys were too harsh.

I like 2...agree that 1 is too blue/cool...I'm afraid it may clash with the sofa, as well.

Have I mentioned I have had horrible decision paralysis lately? If you can’t tell! Paint is hard. I haven’t chimed in because I know how hard it can be to pick a color. I’m leaning toward the blue color, but only because grays are not my favorite right now. I say to maybe get a quart can and paint one smaller wall so seeing over the course of a few days you like it or don’t like it in the different lights of the day.

I just ordered paint to pick up tomorrow. I’m going to paint large poster boards and try them in different areas. I put the poll on GD and #2 is the winner there. But I kind of coming around to the blue so we will see. vino when I ordered the samples just now I could clearly see the brown in #2 that I didn’t see before.

wedding the large poster boards really helped us decide, we moved them around, different places in the house, different times of the day etc and not near each other, that was the number one tip from my painter cause you will definitely see the difference side by side but painting your walls isnt about the difference it’s about each individual colour. Anyways, good luck and keep bouncing ideas off here I know it’s so hard.
