Sooo...
Ever since having P over a year ago I've had some hemorrhoid issues. Not constant but pretty routinely. It's pretty annoying and gross. When would one speak to their doctor about this?

Do you take fiber regularly?
I've found it keeps these issues under control.
If it's happening a lot, I would make an appountment.

Have you been doing otc stuff? Witch hazel, tuck's pads, prep H? Taking colace or miralax or chia seeds daily should help too. And as always, plenty of water.
If ^^that stuff^^ doesn't work, then I would make an appt. And don't be embarrassed or nervous to talk to a dr about it. It's normal, it happens to a lot of people, and it's totally ok.

Witch hazel helped my occasional flare ups after A was born.
I agree with TJ; try OTC things first, and they aren't working, then check in with your Dr.

I had more issues after my first than my second kid, but I've been a little more proactive and added more fiber/water to my diet. Also, I found Mother's Love rhoid balm to be essentially magic for flare ups.
If they are bothering you and nothing is helping or tired of trying everything, talk to your doctor.

Witch hazel is what's in tucks pds right? I have those and they are soothing but don't seem to heal any sooner or anything. Are they supposed to?

Same issues here. Witch hazel works for soothing but they're pretty much there all the time for me. Only uncomfortable every once in a while but I should probably talk to my doc about it. Womp womp.

Are there things docs can do besides surgery? Cuz that sounds fun and all but...

my doc just mentioned surgery as an option, so I'm not sure.
And for real the Mother's love stuff is magic and I find that it heals so much faster (like within 1 day discomfort is mostly gone). I got a sample at my local crunchy baby store and seeked it out during my pregnancy.

I'm not a butt Dr. But surely an actual dr has more info and access to rx strength meds and such.

Waxelene helps me when I have issues. And yes, a doc can prescribe stronger meds (like a higher dose steroid cream).
