Hi!!! Work has been crazy. Boss L is taking 3 days off and Boss B is furloughed so I was taking point on the team. I really just want to sleep.

lahdeedah glad M got a good report. Of course he's a charming angel in school. 👼🙃 Glad to hear your thoughts on the fryer. I may eventually break down and get one. I've been going back and forth on the Instapot for years. Finally decided I don't want it, then the new ones added the air fryer setting and that intrigued me.

Got crustless spinach quiche in the oven. Can't wait. It's so easy but I haven't made it in a long time. I've been really trying to get back on track with dinners and some real meals. I've been struggling with no motivation to meal plan, shop in advance, etc. Trying to get back on track.

And hi, I’m here, albeit super late. Work is kicking my ass lately but I feel I am a broken record saying that.

Hola.
Busy day. I got a good chunk of my remaining Christmas shopping done between online ordering last night and a mall trip this morning. I got a few of my "Angel tree" gifts, too...only need 1 more item.
I had a parent/teacher conference today with B's teacher over Microsoft Teams--my first time using it (cue: A whole new woooorld...) I like her a lot and B is progressing nicely so I'm happy.
My parents came over for dinner and I made beef stroganoff, roasted brussels sprouts, and carrots, with brownies for dessert. Obviously I do not typically cook like that for just me and the kids, so it was nice to do something more elaborate, have someone to chat with over wine, etc. Now I'm in bed but I need to find the motivation to get up and turn off the Xmas tree and outdoor lights.

Thank you guys for validating my feelings...lol. I tend to veer towards asshole in some of these over the top things and admit it, so its good to check in with my N13 compass. I just googled among us. Hell to the no. I am trying to think of something festive for our team and no one had any ideas so we are using our team meeting next week and if people want, they can show off any holiday decor and we won't talk about work stuff. That's the party😂🤷.

I love my IP and didn’t want another appliance. After hearing a few people talk about theirs on this board and at work, I decided I would replace mine with the ninja foodi to get the air fryer function. I can’t let go of my IP yet, though. I use them both still, but wings and chicken thighs are soooooooo good with the air fryer. I just season with Tony’s and/or garlic salt before cooking and yum! I also use it to heat up a lot of frozen foods/leftovers for the kids. IP makes an air fryer lid, but only for the 6qt and I have an 8 qt.

inthekitty they found a good amount of spread in workplaces here as well so during this pause businesses were asked to telework when possible. She also asked for break rooms to be shut down. It’s talking to a wall at this point though.

wedding I'm sorry it's Rona crazy there. It's hard when you feel helpless to do much more to change the situation. . The nurse i baby sit for said he thinks alot of it is lunch rooms. Even if you eat in your office, you're touching the sink and microwave and it feels like home. So you let your guard down more. He said alot of nurses he knows are great about the protocols with patients but they feel safe with fellow nurses and they eat together or in the locker room where they store their purses and coats, aren't so careful.

Yo. I have been searching for baby Christmas dresses all day online and am not having the best luck. I’ve found a couple I like but they are more than I want to spend. We are probably just staying home but I’m going to have a floofy dress for her first Christmas pics! H has a haircut after school but otherwise no plans. mwhip I’m glad they got you in quickly. Check out Gymboree. I loved their holiday clothes this year. I did, and I like their stuff as well. They don’t do baby clothes and the dress I liked that is H’s size is sold out. Lame.

inthekitty people are for sure getting it at work. My coworker’s dad had covid a couple weeks before Thanksgiving and she was with him for 4 hours. Our employee health said to come to work, masked, until you are showing symptoms. Seems questionable to me. Of course there is so much exposure in the hospital anyway that it probably doesn’t matter. I was watching a video on TikTok of a work comp lawyer saying that if you contract it at work you can claim work comp. That’s probably why they are making things sound like you can’t get it at work.
