The order for Evie's PT came through the portal around 11 last night, so I called a PT place in my little town and they can start her tomorrow! So I took it. They are just a general physical therapy place, so if I don't feel like she's getting what she needs, then I'll look more specialized through the Children's hospital, but I have a feeling their wait time is going to be more than 1 day and I really want her to get started on it.

Thank you guys for validating my feelings...lol. I tend to veer towards asshole in some of these over the top things and admit it, so its good to check in with my N13 compass.  Apparently according to my h I can join you in your tendency towards asshole. My family wants to do a zoom pub quiz (is that a thing in the us/Canada too?) on New Year’s Eve. My gut reaction? ‘Oh hell no, I’m not going to sit in front of a screen for three hours for fun!’ |

Morning. Baby girl is keeping us on our toes during the night, she does not like to sleep in her co-sleeper. Part of it is my ‘fault’ I do not want to put her down during the day, I want all the snuggles. This is my last baby (I think 🙄) and I’m savouring every minute of it  . Same 🤷♀️ but no one regrets baby snuggles. Everyone will survive. Snuggle the babe |

vino, that sounds miserable. lfig, I hope your cramps dont come back. I was super tired and went back to bed for a while this morning. I still feel tired but I am going for a long walk in the freezing cold soon so that should wake me up.

nam2013 , what is it with people with 3 hour Zoom parties? That sounds like hell. In person you can wander around, space out, hide in the bathroom, eat. That doesn't translate to virtual so do a shorter focused event and call it a day. Holiday trivia or a virtual Name that Tune Christmas song version would be my jam...but not for 3 hours. mwhip wahoo! I'm glad the ball is at least rolling in the right direction. I hope your sweet girl gets some relief with tx. I got your card today. You guys look great!

Hi!
Despite me wanting today off, I got caught off guard yesterday when he asked if I was working at my other job and quickly answered no. Then followed up asking me to work today and I said yes. I was so mad at myself all day yesterday because my head has been cloudy and I could tell I really needed some alone time, but I’m here and it’s not bad. They even have team member appreciation lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. Currently eating the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. 🤤
I told them I’m leaving early for A parent teacher zoom conference- which I do have, but it’s not until 330. Still leaving in a few so I can run some errands before M gets home. They keep asking me if I’m working tomorrow and I’m like NOPE.

In my larger work unit there is an extreme party planner, she is annoying af and is super condescending if you aren't interested in what she has planned. Well in the middle of all this ::waves hands:: she has told us there is a 3 hour ONLINE Christmas party. We have all had to download Among Us, learn how to play and she is setting up rooms, that came with a giant instruction email in font size fucking 7, we have to be logged into the work chat room and playing the game together, I've since learned that there is a chat function on the game but we have to be in the work chat with the cameras on, this is for a total of 1 hr (depending on the 'fun level' which of course is determined by her). Then we'll move into Christmas BINGO where she will manage the game, call out numbers etc, and we have to print off shit at home to be a part of this, there is also an online puzzle that she has created for us to go in and other print offs for us to 'enjoy'. You guys, my cup is running over as it is and this is the exact opposite of what I want to do this afternoon, it is causing me stress and anger! I dont have time to play online games, thats not my life. I am now fully convinced that what she does here is 100% without a doubt fully self serving. She needs the constant recognition of 'whoa you're awesome for setting this up' and I am feeling some way about all of it. #vinogrinch Is this a required activity or can you opt out? That sounds like fresh hell. |

We are probably just staying home but I’m going to have a floofy dress for her first Christmas pics! H has a haircut after school but otherwise no plans. mwhip I’m glad they got you in quickly. |

We are probably just staying home but I’m going to have a floofy dress for her first Christmas pics! H has a haircut after school but otherwise no plans. mwhip I’m glad they got you in quickly. I couldn’t find any in newborn sizes! So I guess I’m opting for a sleep ‘n okay 🤷🏼♀️. Have you tried Zara, H&M? Next is also a good one! |

well the time has come for the 'party' I have opted out of the Among Us game as there was another email with a 4 min video of 'how to' I replied with 'This is....too much. I'll be opting out of the game'. So instead of having a large group chat, and 'rooms' for the players of Among Us, we are all just supposed to do 'other activities'...so I am doing an online puzzle...alone. WHAT A PARTY. please stay tuned for new and exciting updates |

We are probably just staying home but I’m going to have a floofy dress for her first Christmas pics! H has a haircut after school but otherwise no plans. mwhip I’m glad they got you in quickly. Evie's teacher sent me an email this afternoon after Evie told her she doesn't enjoy recess anymore because it makes her knees hurt too much. She asked if she could have the school physical therapist contact me about maybe doing some therapy during the day as well. I told her Evie will start therapy tomorrow, but that I'd love to have another resource, so she is going to pass my information along and I should hear from her in the next few days.

mwhip, that's heartbreaking that she does not want to do recess, I'm sorry. But it's great that now you have even more resources to help her. I hope between the school and your PT starting tomorrow that things start to improve for E

Everytime she emails me, she says she doesn't want to complain or step on my toes, she's never had a child with JIA so she's learning as well, etc. I tell her I really appreciate her input because I ask Evie all the time how she's feeling and she doesn't openly tell me things, so it's really helpful. |

Cs school had its first case today and it was in the first grade. Luckily I wasn’t in his class. My neighbor is the lunch/recess monitor and told me no one in his class was absent today so it must be the other class.
I’m a bit shocked we haven’t had a case in aftercare. Especially since they do preschool and pre-K and there’s kids from a couple of surrounding towns.
In other news RI now holds the crown for highest number of cases per 100,000 for the past week in the WORLD!! isn’t that nuts?! The experts say our State is the second most densely populated, with a lot of multi family homes, we have lots of colleges, and we are very close knit so there have been more small social gatherings/visits. We have also done a ton of testing so we are finding the cases vs places that don’t have great access to tests. I get all of that but I’m still shocked. RI has had a mask mandate that the majority comply with since we found out masks could help. I don’t necessarily see shutting more down helping since it’s things like “I’m running to my parents to grab something” and other small social visits causing the problem.
Anyway, enough of my blabbering! We just ordered a buffalo chicken calzone for dinner so I’m excited about that.

M’s parent teacher conference went well. She adores M (the kid is a real teacher charmer, so no surprise there) and she says he is very kind and always does a great job leading. My kid must have split personality because he shows none of that at home. 😑
She has no concerns and he is above where he should be as far as the benchmarks go. I didn’t expect a bad report, but it’s always nice to hear other people like your kid and thinks he is doing well.
Then I ran out for my laser appointment and I am happy to report that for the first time I didn’t flinch or want to curse out the tech. Lol.
Lastly, can I just say how the air fryer is hands down the best appliance for cooking chicken. That is, chicken on the bone. It’s so flavorful and juicy. ::chef’s kiss:: A++ appliance
