The Supreme Court rejected the case wholesale. Two conservative justices — Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas — said they believed the Supreme Court was technically required to allow Texas to file a bill of complaint, but indicated that they would “not grant other relief,” meaning they would not agree to throw the country into chaos. howeverithappened.proboards.com/thread/34321/week-12-7?page=14&scrollTo=2878352

So you all are watching and rewatching TWW and I'm currently OBSESSED with Designated Survivor. I want Maggie Q to be my best friend. This is next on my list! It is so silly and ridiculous and I absolutely love it.

Apparently Rush Limbaugh nattered on about secession. John Dean had a fiscal analysis response John Dean, who served as White House Counsel for United States President Richard Nixon, questioned how red, Republican, states would progress economically if they left the Union. If the red states seceded they would be a third world nation. It is the blue states that keep the red state's financially afloat. Generally, blue states pay more taxes than they receive in federal benefits! www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/rush-limbaugh-says-conservative-states-are-trending-toward-secession-from-us/ar-BB1bOi9y

And they could say that we rely on them for food, but the PNW are two of the largest ten farming states in the union and I believe CA is in there as well. We'll be fine THANKS. I do hate it for all the red state progressives and marginalized communities that even have to put up with this bullshit talking point though.

I don’t agree with Justin Amash on much, but he has been very straightforward about all this and I appreciate it.

Honestly yeah, it does get a little annoying to see people say states like Indiana should just secede. 1.2 million Hoosiers voted for Biden. 1.7 million for Trump. That’s a whole lot of people getting left behind.

Just fuck all us Democrats in red states?

This seems like a terrible idea. Oh no. No no no. Personally my favorite for the position is Sally Yates, but Merrick Garland would be fun too. lol

But otherwise, yes.

But I do understand then sentiment of saying, you don't want to be in the US, fine, leave. The Texas gop chair guy is totally a nut job though.

I'm betting they wait on AG announcement for a bit, just to make them sweat.

FFFC my teenager is the one who told me SCOTUS ruled on Texas. He came running into the room all excited. I had been refreshing all afternoon and apparently he'd been tracking it too and beat me to it.
