Ooooh I forgot I love the name Corinne! I think DH didn't like it when we were naming DD. So, my name is Corinne. And I love it because no one has my name but don't love it because I've seriously gotten a variations of how to spell/pronounce my name. From Corny to Borrinne. Seriously. 😳 It's a good, strong name if I do say so myself. 😉 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well, I really like your name! My name is similar to yours in that you would know my name but there were no other "my names" at my school. I didn't like it when I was younger bc I couldn't find one of those stupid little license plates with my name on it (tragedy!) but really love it now that I'm older. I also go through a pronounciation issue but I'm used to it.

I like that so many seem to like the name Genevieve. It just reaffirms my love for DDs name. 😊

DD is only 1.5 and I have already heard quite a few. Mostly Kareen 😮🤔 P.S. do you have or go by a nickname? I tend to call her Rinnie and DH calls her Coco just to piss me off hahaha Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk So, I have many nicknames. None that are formal. I've always gone by Corinne. People tried to call me Cori and I'm just not a Cori. I've been called both Rinnie and Coco ironically from people that I used to work with. But it's really just a couple of people. My family calls me Connie because it's a running inside joke and I've just learned to live with it. Even after all the misspellings and pronunciation errors, I wouldn't change my name. I love it. Corinne is a gorgeous name! I've got a name that screams it's from the 1980's so hoping to avoid pinning my child to a decade with his/her name. I would post my list, but it's now mostly just blatantly copying all of your lists....

My H refuses to seriously discuss names until we find out the sex, which should be next week.
He's convinced it's a boy, so our short list for boys is: Bryce (my fave) Grady Jude
We haven't discussed girls this time around, but I like: Olivia Cora Amelia I also love Harper, Lyla, and Sophia, but he said no to those last time around.

Another unique name here! Definitely no license plates or name necklaces, but I still regularly get compliments and comments on it, which has solidified my liking for unusual names. Ideally, names that don't totally confuse people, but are a little different.

I haven't talked to DH but I want Elizabeth if it's a girl. I've loved that name forever and it was on the table for DS until we knew he was DS. We had a hard time picking boy names and a middle name for Elizabeth. We'll discuss it for real once we know what it is. We argue too much because he purposely makes stupid suggestions and it irritates me. Lol. So much fun naming humans. 🙄

We have decided on family names this time. Our girls are Lorelai and Adelaide. This baby will be either William Michael or Lillian Marie. I don't love how popular those names are, but they are very special family names. I did try to talk dh into Evangeline, but he wasn't going for it.

Being a teacher makes it a little harder to choose names. I don't have many "I could never use that name because of that kid". But I can't really use many "classic" names because I just know so many kids that have them. If I am saying the name Julia or Chris thirty times a day, I get bored even with names I like. A problem unique to my profession possibly?

I taught Kindergarten for 10 years and there are a lot of names I'm sick of or that are tied too closely with a former student in my mind.

We also try to imagine our son or daughter as President or a Supreme Court Justice and say President First, Middle, Last or now arriving is Supreme Court Justice First Middle Last to see if it sounds "distinguished" or if it sounds like the baby was named by a 12 year old.

We really haven't even thought names but I'm at the tail end of our BMB so not shocked. We can't think of any girl names but one day out of the blue came up with a boy name we both like. Log.an Rich.ard (MN for MHs grandfather). To be continued...

Josephine Lindsey for a girl (Josephine is a family name for my Wife and Lindsey is the name of her best friend who passed from brain cancer when DS was 3 weeks old. DS is actually named after another one of her friends who passed away. 😞)
Niklas Steven for a boy (first name has no meaning, middle name is Wife's fathers name)

We have so, so many names on both our girl and boy lists that I think it's going to be a long time before we have any final decisions. For the most part though, we have similar taste in names, so that is making things easier!
