I need some housewarming gift ideas for my brother. Who is older than me, been married ten years, and bought a house 3x the price of mine. But its their first house and I should get them something.

I like the address stamp idea. When we bought our last house a friend got me an address embosser/press thing that I really enjoyed using. Also, fresh hand towels/ kitchen towels are great for a new house- personalized or ones that are relevant to your brother's interests (for example, in my kitchen I have a pair of towels with schitts creek quotes on them).

Fancy or non fancy I would use this constantly for Christmas cards and packages. I second fresh kitchen linens. Standard white towels and hand towels. A nice house plant or flowers?

This is ultra practical but probably the best housewarming gift I ever got was a fire extinguisher. Most people don’t buy them but they’re so important.

see we have a return address stamp and it sucks. so maybe I need to spend more.
what else? If I go practical it'll be a lowes gift card or something, but I like things like the stamp...

another problem with most things personalized is their last name begins with O...which just doesn't look good on things

Do they send thank you cards?
A nice set of generic or personalized cards and envelopes?

You can never go wrong with a good bottle of alcohol. Unless they don’t drink.
A housewarming gift I’ve given is a basket of caldera brand cleaning supplies, which I love. Also practical.

What about a Christmas ornament, like first Christmas in our new house type of thing? Bet you could find something really cute on Etsy.

So I emailed the daycare about the field trip and they said that they had rented out the entire facility for our group and one other group from a different school (our daycare has 4 or so sites around the state). Each group will have 18-25 kids and they will have zero interaction with each other. They will be traveling around the space within the same pods that they're in at school (5ish kids per group). And they will be taking a school bus there, which would allow for spacing.
See, all of that would be helpful to put in the initial email. Not just "We're taking a field trip and taking all of the precautions!" Which could just mean that they're going to occasionally wipe things down.
I still feel like it's unnecessary, but I also feel like it's safe.
I also just verified that the other school that will be there have had zero covid cases at school. So there's that.

I'd love both of these ideas! When we moved my parents gave us a bottle of fancy champagne and a set of colourful champagne flutes that are exactly my taste. You could also do a nice bottle of whatever they like with a glass decanter and set of tumblers.

No one listened to me, I would have been thrilled to receive a set as a housewarming gift. So yes stringy this is a great idea too if they are into sparkly drinks, even just very occasionally. Etsy is a great place for address stamps & ornaments. And other cute housewarming stuff, literally just search 'housewarming gift'

We have a self inking address stamp from Excelmark (bought on Amazon). It works nicely and they have a few design options. if you order direct from the company you can fully customize the design.

Doesn't it make sense that stringy and her brother have the same last name? I mean that most any circular monogramming, on anything, looks dumb with a big O in the middle. There are non-circular ones, yes, but even then sometimes its just odd looking

I'm trying a hoop instead of a stud for my nose piercing. I don't think I like it. I don't think it looks as good.

Then again, I like things that are pleasingly symmetrical or otherwise balanced.

One of my 7th grade boys is a Grey’s Anatomy super fan. We had the best Grey’s discussion I’ve had in years. He knows every character and subplot and has lots of opinions about all of it.
