Walking that early sounds exhausting! I think both of mine started walking shortly before their first birthdays. Like 10 or 11 months.

DD1 started walking right after her first birthday and DD2 didn’t walk until 15 months. I was happy with that.

H is looking like he's on the verge of crawling. He's got up on his hands and knees and does the rocking thing. They will be 8 months next week (!) so it's not super off track timing wise. My oldest was crawling about this age and then he started walking at 10 months.
I'm sort of dreading the walking with these two because chasing two tiny toddlers around instead of one is much scarier to me than dealing with two immobile babies.

I DO NOT want an early walker. I want them immobile as long as possible, lol. I have a feeling V will be crawling early. That’s me. N keeps getting on his knees and rocking back and forth and I keep telling him to slow down.

I just got my first PP period 😭😭😭
I lasted over a year with my other two and T still isn’t sleeping through the night, so I’m extra sad and annoyed.
That is all, lol.

That is so annoying. I had sporadic periods after my first was born and with my second it didn’t come back for a year. I’d wish the sporadic on you but man it was annoying not knowing when to expect my period.

So DH was supposed to come home today. They (and we to a lesser extent) have been having weather all week and they are now like 4 days behind in flights. The absolute earliest he can get home now is Monday. I'm so exhausted guys. Luckily I made sure to finish shopping before he left (though I am still waiting on 1 important item in the mail, which is making me nervous). But I have none of my baking done, my house is a disaster, plus taking care of 3 kids by myself. I could cry. If he doesn't get home Monday I may actually lose it.

I can only imagine how stressful that must feel. I really hope he makes it on Monday. You deserve some rest and help.

I’m sorry danib That’s so frustrating - you deserve a break. hangry I got my first PP period the same day as you - boo! I’m debating whether to get another IUD, even though DH got snipped. But so far this period is pretty light (that was previously my norm, but I hear they can get worse as women get closer to 40), so I may hold off for now.

I got my first covid vaccine on Saturday afternoon. Yesterday I felt normal, just sore arm where it was injected. Last night while I was watching tv I got a bad headache and nauseous. That same thing came back today so I’m guessing it’s a reaction to the vax. It’s manageable and I’m sure it’ll be gone by tomorrow. I’m planning to lay low and snuggle the baby all day today. Both big kids have school today and tomorrow then it’s off for a couple weeks. I don’t work Christmas this year but I do have to work Christmas eve evening which is a bummer because I had to miss Christmas Eve with the kids last year. All the presents are purchased, wrapped and under the tree (except the Santa ones of course). V turns 6 months on Wednesday, so crazy to me. Where has the last 6 months gone?

Awesome that you got the vaccine. Are you breastfeeding? If so did you reach out to anyone on info regarding the vaccine and breastfeeding. The lack of research on lactation is the only thing that is making me pause on getting it but just looking for all the info I can find!

I'd be disappointed too. I have no idea how you do everything by yourself so much.

I am breastfeeding. I follow a bunch of doctors and researchers on IG who have talked about it a lot and the consensus is that it’s very low risk compared to actually contracting covid. There may be some antibodies passed through the milk to the baby which is cool. The ACOG also recommends it. www.acog.org/clinical/clinical-guidance/practice-advisory/articles/2020/12/vaccinating-pregnant-and-lactating-patients-against-covid-19

Update: DH did make it home, thank goodness. I channeled my anxiety and baked a dozen chocolate chip banana muffins, 7 dozen sugar cookies, and 4 dozen snowballs. And made a huge bucket of Christmas Slush. So needless to say I'm officially ready for Christmas and definitely ready for a break.
G is going through something weird these last 2 nights. It's like he's in pain or something, but only a bedtime. He just screams and cries so hard, and stiffens out his whole body. Normally the first part of our night is super easy so this is really not good. I hope whatever phase it is is super short.

We just consolidated naps down to two. Thank the Good lord. They were getting really crappy at the 3 naps so I knew it had to be time. They are napping much better now. They both have a runny nose so it is sort of affecting it a bit but not much.
I can't wait for that one long nap per day.

V had her 6 month appt today. She got the 3 shots (including her first flu shot) and the rotatec vaccine. She is my smallest baby by far. 15lb 15oz, 45th percentile 25.7in, 38th percentile HC: 43cm, 70th percentile
Pretty quick and easy appt.
