I am off of work in a half an hour and I plan to run to a local discount store to see if I can score some lawn decorations for Christmas. I don't do inflatables at Christmas but the light up yard stuff is pretty expensive. C wants a scene with Santa and a tree with deer in the background. I have the deer already but need the other pieces. Also, TMI sorry, I have been struggling with being backed up lately which is rare for me. Anyway things aren't moving despite increased water, fiber, and softeners. I think I am going to bring out the big guns and get KFC for lunch. Glad I am off for the afternoon Another exciting day over here! Oh and we have new state restrictions since things are getting bad and we can't gather with anyone outside of our household. They want us to stay home for Thanksgiving but know people won't. I am not sure what my parents want to do since it's just us and my brother. With all of the increases we were told today that we won't be going back to work until June, at best. JUNE!!! Realistically that is probably a decent estimate but yikes!

inthekitty baby girl had a little difficulty keeping her temp up to par, but seems to be doing better now. She lost a lot of weight, so we have to supplement a little formula because my milk is coming in, but apparently not fast enough for our little miss. I had to break out my pump to speed things up, so we’re on a busy schedule. But she’s perfect and we’re so in love. Poof TTDR; mini labour story .

I'm glad you shared nam2013 . I actually love labor stories. You rock. That would be intense to have everything happen that fast. I hope she starts packing on the pounds soon. tgrimes _ (insert Lucille Bluth eye roll) to your mom Re: inflatables. One of our neighbors crammed Jack Skellington in a sleigh pulled by skeleton reindeer and a random baby Yoda in his small yard. Lolz.

nam2013, get ready. In my experience girls born on that day are full of surprises! Smart, sassy, and very independent, but oh so loving and caring.

So I went ahead and sent a text to the light guy, who apologized and said he wouldn't have time. Seriously, I started texting him a MONTH ago about this and today he finally said to find someone else. I'm so annoyed. Although before he even responded to me, I had a quote and am scheduled for tomorrow or Monday with someone else. wedding June is crazy! That is by far, the longest return date I've heard from anyone.

Regarding Christmas decorations...you all know my H is crazy, I don't even know how many inflatables we have to put up for Christmas this year. Weather is supposed to be decent and since 2 of my plans for tomorrow are now cancelled (thanks Covid), I'll be helping my husband put them up all weekend I guess.
The count used to be 4 I think, but I know he's added at least 2 others.

Is my kid the only weird kid who prefers meat lovers? I have anchovy-lovers over here, although they won’t say no to any pizza.

Hey! I just turned in my PIV card to work along with my work charge cards. Officially furloughed till late February. It cracks me up that they make me turn that stuff in, but let me keep my keys, radio, cell phone, ect. I’m looking forward to the time off right now. But know that after that last paycheck I won’t enjoy it as much 😂.

Hi.
Busy morning at work for me. One hour to go. I’m taking M to Target once he gets off the bus so he can spend his gift cards. He’s been bugging me all week. I need to figure out what we are having for dinner and then I can’t wait to sit and zone out on tv. Hope the kids leave me alone.
M2 has a bit of a cough and usually we use the breathing treatments at this time and it takes care of it in a day or so, but because covid, I’m hesitant to use it. We have an inhaler now, but it just doesn’t help his cough like the treatments. I will probably sit with him outside on the back patio this afternoon while he gets one. Hopefully that will help him sleep better tonight.

mwhip , he could just be stressed and tired and that's why he's feeling achy. I'm surprised they are already sending her home, though. I hope they both recover quickly. Sucks that they can't see their son though. So true, I'm sure he isn't sleeping well. He had told me that Monday, he felt achy and was super tired, but then felt better Tuesday, so he may just have a bug as well and the stress isn't helping. I'm just going to back off, I know how he is. And I know he listens to what we say, but is focused only on my SIL and her health. I’m sorry they are both sick. If he doesn’t take care of himself he might also end up in the hospital. I know he’s worried but you have to put your own oxygen mask on first.

Hey. Clearly I missed all the things. I really have no excuse for it either. Yesterday I read an email from the CEO of my hospital. He is a giant ass and basically made it sound like we are handling the current situation fine and that we will be getting vaccinations before next month. He is definitely drinking the orange koolaide. The little girls and I went to target this morning where S continued to throw fits about things so I made her take a nap. I hope she wakes up with a better attitude. tgrimes I’m glad your dad is home, but man does he look rough. I hope you can convince them to move. @klongoria 2 pizzas will probably be more than enough. My girls prefer Canadian bacon or cheese pizza.

Speaking of drinking the Orange Koolaid, my mom just called and said my dad tested positive for COVID, but don’t worry he doesn’t really have it.
WTH?
She was like, well he has pneumonia but he gets that all the time anyway because he smokes.
I had to explain that if he tested positive (TWICE!), he has the virus. No question. Then she talked about coming out to visit for Thanksgiving next week. Hell to the no. I called both my sisters and we are in complete disbelief.
They are all in on the Trump train cult, apparently.

cagoldi good to see you! Yikes to your dad. I hope he's okay. Regarding the Orange KoolAid I read an article about patients dying of Covid at the hospital in S. Dak and literally still saying Covid is a hoax. Woof. trtlcrzy the deniers who get me the most are the medical people. It's infuriating.

cagoldi, wow. Big no to that. Speaking of the covid vaccine, who would get it if it were available today? I personally would wait it out a bit and everyone I've talked to says the same so I'm curious.

wedding, hope the KFC works! I had that issue over the weekend and it seriously felt like I was in labor with the cramps and such. I joked to my mom and sisters that with my luck lately I was one of those people who don't know they're pregnant their whole pregnancy or something!

I'm going to check for Echo Shows to go on sale for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals on Amazon. They are basically an Alexa with a screen. I'd get two so we'd have one and give one to my mom. She's really depressed not seeing the kids and I think that would help. What sucks is we'd normally be the ones to set up stuff like that for her. I'll have to get on my brother's case about it.

I personally would wait it out a bit and everyone I've talked to says the same so I'm curious. I would also prefer to wait. I'm not sure what my time frame is that would make me feel 'safe' when we don't know long term side effects, and won't for years. But I'd prefer to wait 6 to 12 monthsish. Not sure that will be an option for the kids attending in person school.

I definitely have had thoughts of waiting it out a bit too because of concerns about safety and it being rushed. However, I talked to one of my MD friends about it who is really smart, I trust his judgment, and he's taken the threat of COVID seriously and read a lot about it. He basically said a lot of safety precautions go into the trials and by the time it's released it should be a safe bet. I still might not rush, but get it fairly soon after I'm able to. I'm assuming that there will be something tiered like first it's offered to vulnerable populations, medical professionals, and military before general public. I might be forced to get it before I'm comfortable with it.

Yeah my boss asked if anyone was I interested in getting it mid December- current time table for delivery. I’m waiting it out. If I was older, or living with elderly, or immune compromised family, it may be different.

I will probably get the vaccine when I am able. We don’t know the long term effects of COVID either but do know that you could die from it, have irreparable heart or lung damage, or continue to be symptomatic for long periods. Given that me and my mom are high risk, I think it will probably be the smartest move to get vaccinated.
