It's Thursday! Random away....
Today was a pretty normal one for us. I think DS is coming down with a cold - or maybe his last two molars are coming through. He's been super emotional and sensitive all day. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
I missed out on the Prime Day hangover thread yesterday, but I had my own little Target baby sale hangover yesterday. They have so much baby gear on sale all this week, plus gift card promotions. I ended up buying a dockatot for DH to pick up when he goes back to the states later this month. Such a painful purchase...but I'm hoping it ends up being worth it and giving me oodles of sleep when the baby arrives. I also got super cute Lightning McQueen undies for DS, he's going to love them!!

It's my last 3 hours of training today! Yay! And no meetings this morning, which means I can actually get caught up on work and emails.

Taitai DS picked out Cars underwear before our first potty training attempt and now insists on wearing them over his pullups. FX your DS enjoys his too!

Morning! It's humid and gross here and DS has been crabby. I brought DS to my work so he could see the construction, but I think his favorite part was the fish pond inside the building. I could barely peel him away long enough to say hello to my coworkers!
I'm somewhere between excited and dreading going back on Monday. It's definitely going to be interesting.

Last night was good. The only annoyance was that K peed on the newly washed bathroom rug seconds before I lifted her into the tub and then again on the rug in her room after her bath. I mean I guess I should be thankful I don't have a tub pooper, but dude, you were in the tub. Pee in the tub!

Only happened twice but once it was morning wake up and that was a waterfall. On my bed.

Morning! Work is slowing down. Looking fwd to lunch. And to tomorrow being Friday. My dh keeps reminding me that his mom will be here soon, like maybe a week. He asked me where I'm taking her. I expect him to take the lead on this not me. I can suggest places or things to do but he's always working. I feel odd hosting her and my SIL without him. AND SIL is always working too (she has 2 jobs!). It's gonna be an interesting summer.

Yeah, she's coming from Mexico for the first time. We've never met. I don't know if I'm supposed to plan a dinner at my place. Or wait for SIL to do something at hers. I can do it but like I said DNW to be alone with her. Maybe plan a bbq and invite his cousin and his family.

If she's coming for a week I'd also do the bbq. Does yh have any ideas what she would like to do/see? Can he give you some insight into whether she's an out an about person or homebody?

She can push the baby and I can wrangle the toddler. I just don't know if she's physically up to certain things. If he's gonna leave her with me I'm gonna need to introduce her to my dad and his family. So they can sit and talk. I know not what to talk to this lady about.

If we're talking about places you don't want pee, the other night we were letting DS have diaper-free time to dry out his rash after bath time, and while he was sitting on H, he peed on his leg. Luckily, there was a towel in between the two, but H still definitely got pee on him. I may have giggled at that one.
But, this morning his rash is FINALLY looking like it's improving! His doctor did diagnosis it as a fungal infection on Tuesday, so we've been doing the prescription ointment, and fingers crossed it continues to heal!

I also put it on if I suspect another yeast/fungal flare up. We had an issue for a month or two, but i was super aggressive with the antifungal cream and we have been rash free for months.

L has peed a few times on the bathroom mat just before a bath! And a few weeks ago I was changing his diaper on the living room floor. He was being silly and crawled away from me and through the kitchen doorway, where I couldn't see him. Then I saw a steam of pee come shooting out the doorway onto the floor. I went into the kitchen and he was standing at the fridge pooping lol.

littlelion I can totally sympathize with not knowing what to do with a MIL you don't know! My in-laws live in Europe and we see them once a year. There's a huge language barrier so I can barely communicate with them. They're coming to our place in September and I told my husband to take the week off work to help me entertain them... I find it so awkward and difficult to find things to do, since I assume they don't want to sit around the house all day. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk

When I was growing up my neighbor's were Polish and his mother came to stay with them one summer. She spoke not one word of English, but we were able to communicate pretty well. Her cooking was so good, and she fed me so much good food.

Yes, I learned my lesson about allowing silliness during diaper changes! It hasn't happened again and I intend to keep it that way!

Hahahahahaha.
I forgot I've got an advisory group meeting at 10:30. Good thing I got one project out of the way this morning. Because that's all that's getting done today.
How many hours until Friday again?

We hit up the library this morning. E decided she wanted to go and just started saying "bye-bye" and walking away lol.
I just spent over half an hour washing and combing out the old cornsilk Cabbage Patch Kid dolls I have. Just two took that long. The hair is wrecked on the ends. Kind of like my own.

Taitai my SIL swears by the dockatot. My nephew uses the XL one now (he's 12 months). Just read the manufacturer's FAQ. It's not supposed to be used inside a crib.
