Dr. finally called. So at first they said the urine sample was contaminated, like she didn't wipe well enough before peeing in a cup and that we needed to bring her in to take another one. So then I asked about the swabs and the nurse put me on hold and got a doctor. Ends up the swabs show the same bacteria that they thought was contaminating the urine sample. So long story short, they've prescribed amoxicillin for the next 10 days.

Hey. DH worked this morning until early afternoon and the big kids were driving me insane. I woke up to the running and yelling around the house so I started out on a bad foot. We’ve just been hanging around the house today, although I did make the big girls go outside to play in the snow for a while. I don’t feel like cooking so I think we are going to order BWWs.

tgrimes I’m glad your visit has been good. I hope you can see your dad tomorrow.

I'm in a little lull before we head to dinner. Painting with Cass was fun. It's been a busy day, especially compared to what we're used to in Rona world. I think we'll sleep hard tonight.

chrisy01 OR and WA are all working in concert with Cali so I'm in a similar boat. We were going to meet my mom for lunch in Portland Thanksgiving weekend but it sounds like the restaurants are closing to indoor dining. I need to figure out ASAP because we might have to change to tomorrow to get in a visit before that happens.

I'd feel comfortable driving but I probably wouldn't fly with the 2 wk quarantine restriction.

I’m waiting until Tuesday when our governor has his next press conference. We haven’t allowed indoor eating yet. [mention]inthekitty [/mention] I’m uncertain what he will say. But I’m kind of annoyed with him because his winery was one of the first businesses allowed to open up and his kids school was one of the first to get to open with in person teaching.

Catching up after the weekend. I had been saving money to throw Alex a surprise 30th birthday party but covid.. so I had to change plans. It was all still a surprise though. we had lunch down town, walked around the museum Christmas display and checked into a nice hotel. We checked out this vintage arcade bar and Went to a fancy dinner then met his brother and fiance at a bar. This morning we had breakfast at this amazing waffle place and did a tour of Great American Ball Park. It was pretty awesome, we were the only ones on the tour so we got alot of info and to see extra places. We came home and I had my dad set up his gift in the garage. Which was a blackstone griddle. He had a blast so im happy.

I'm feeling anxious. I saved all this money for this purpose but still to spend such a large amount in 1.5 days makes me feel nervous.

It was also my first night away from Mallory. And besides being engorged like crazy, it wasn't bad. She slept good for my mom and I got to relax.

peachsmama That sounds like an amazing birthday and I’m glad you both enjoyed it. I’m sure he would think all that you planned is better than a party. I totally get it about spending, because I normally feel that way when I drop more than normal every day sums of money, too.

I’m also glad you had time to get away and relax. I know you said you were going through some stuff too, so I’m sure you needed the reset.

nam2013 I know you love baseball and ballparks. It was super cheap to do this tour and we got to get in the dugout, practice area, get on the field and see all the clubhouses. Because of covid we weren't allowed in the locker room but it was still awesome. And they have a hall of fame museum. I'm sure other parks offer similar tours.

So we had these all summer because we were in such better shape than most places. Now it seems like a shit show all around, so I don't get mandating a quarantine just because you crossed state lines when your own state is a mess, too. I mean I get that they are trying to discourage travel but it seems so arbitrary.

Agreed, I canceled Disney last week and now it seems it’s just as risky to go to the local grocery store so I should have just gone to Disney.

peachsmama that looks so fun!!! Glad you had a fun time. And I get the money thing, on the other hand I’ve never ever regretted traveling/taking trips, the memories we build whether as a couple or as a family are priceless! We live and build on those memories. We did the Fenway tour with the kids the summer before last, also dirt cheap and so fun! We weren’t allowed in the field and locker rooms because it was a game day. I have the picture on my mantle and still smile every time I see it, it is not a perfect picture by all means, but we look so so happy!

Yesterday turned out to be a not totally boring day. We decided to meet up w another couple and their 4 yo at a local brewery. Might as well get some time out and with friends before more restrictions come through.

I just placed an online pickup order at ON, so need to go get that later. I think its supposed to rain today so today will be the day to lounge around the house and watch nfl.

Morning. I had a semi decent night sleep last night, my first wake up was 3.45, which was nice!

The kids where happy to see their shoes filled with chocolate coins and a story book (normally shoe presents are small trinkets, but I made it a tradition to do a book on the first night). Ds had a birthday party this morning, so we had one one time with dd. I gave her a manicure, we made drawings and had tea. After an hour or so our doorbell rang, the new neighbors from across the street have a little girl dds age and came to ask if she wanted to play. Dh went with them to the playground, apparently they traveled a lot and spend a couple of years living in the us Seattle, California but also Boston, what are the odds.

Lazy Sunday is all that’s on the menu for the rest of the day.

Morning! I slept in until 7:30 and I'm still in pajamas. I still haven't decided whether to run or not, but I DID accomplish something! DH told the boys last year that maybe we could do some outdoor lights this Christmas. Given how they haven't been able to do much this year, I reminded DH and ordered a couple nets for our holly bushes and new lit wreaths for the front door and over the garage. I'm really excited.

We tried to do a fire at SIL's house last night for her birthday, but her wood was too wet after all the rain this week. So we just ended up eating outside in the cold. I felt bad, she's had such a shit year and deserves for something to go right!

I should call my parents today, but that's really about all I have to do. Oh and look into what to do for Thanksgiving for just the four of us. Life is so weird these days.

Morning! I was awakened by the sound of diarrhea coming through the monitor at 4:45 am from Sierra. 🤢. She followed it it with a 10 minute seizure about an hour later. Now she’s napping and I’m sitting here with hair dye on my head watching a Christmas movie. Lol.

My FIL has been here for a few days and he’s making me crazy. But he leaves today!

Also, I have been watching Schitt’s Creek the last few weeks and finally finished it this morning. Does anyone else find themselves talking to themselves like Moira with that crazy accent? Lol. No? Just me?
