guster we are refinancing both loans this month too. Rates are amazing if anyone else wants to look into it. I’m so glad you posted because I forgot my mortgage guy told me to the cancel the automatic payments on my mortgages.

At the time, we thought “damn, we are getting a great rate!” and then these past months we’ve watched them go farther and farther down....

Morning. SSDD. Last night I had to train the girl I was training on Tuesday again. I’m glad I don’t have to train her again, she’s a very entitled 24 year old. Thinks she deserves nights/weekends off because she’s the youngest person and wants to go out. Def not how it works. lahdeedah I hope you’re past the worst of it and are feeling much better today. klong11 I hope something comes back so she can have antibiotics to make her feel better. I don’t think H has had to pee in a cup yet, but S has a few times. They usually put a hat in the toilet with 3 cups inside hoping she will hit one. tgrimes I hope someone talks to you today. On a side note what every happened with your H’s grandpa? He’s better! My MIL is still there but they’re going to get both grandparents into the same new facility. They won’t be in the same room since grandma would be on the memory care side and grandpa would be on assisted living side, but they’ll still be able to see each other. It was supposed to be next week but they delayed the opening. That’s great news!

All of the home alone movies are now on Disney + 1 and 2 are some of my favorite movies of all time! I remember seeing both in the theater with my best friend.

Got the cupcakes to M’s class. Went by the dollar store to pick up stuff to wrap gifts and stopped for more soup. I’m feeling a little productive, but I will be on the couch catching up on the dvr the rest of the day probably.

Hi all.
Another banner day here in terms of cases and Colin's school is going hybrid again as of next week. He is super bummed but I am relieved. It gives me hope that they're willing to make the tough calls over the holidays.
I am feeling pretty bummed out about the holidays myself. I need to look into my mental health benefits, as I know they are providing enhanced virtual services during the pandemic. I just want to stay in bed all day, everyday. I'm not of course, but I hate feeling like this.
At least the weekend is here. We have nothing going on because they called fall sports early due to Covid. We need to figure out something fun to keep everyone from losing their minds!!

Hi guise, sorry to be such a flake lately. We stopped having the sitter come and woof, she was at least a bit helpful since this was a long week...and we had taken Monday off to go to the zoo. Anywho, just saying hi!

A bunch of high schools here are going virtual until after Thanksgiving because cases are up. My coworker said the principal’s email said most cases were stemming from gatherings outside of school. I’m really hoping it doesn’t trickle down to the elementary schools, but it would probably be for the best. Why are we back here? Why couldn’t the country do the right thing as a whole in the beginning?

We just refinanced the shore house in February and we are doing it again. I ran the numbers a hundred times and it was still worth it with closing costs and all. Our appraisals came back crazy high on both houses. DH says we should sell them both but then we’d have to move far away because finding something here is impossible. Market is hot because of everyone getting out of the city.

Maybe I should look at rates again. We got a 3% on a 30yr in May I think. tgrimes I’m glad you made it safely. I hope things go smoothly and get better for your dad. I took the day off today. I desperately needed a day to shut off and it was great. I napped and read most of the day. Tomorrow my parents are taking C so we can buy a car. Dh decided on the Mazda CX-30. It’s the nicest and best reviews in our price range. I’m all ready to negotiate a good deal. Hopefully they make this process quick. I do not want to be sitting in a dealership during COVID.

I keep an eye on condo prices in Boston with people fleeing the city. There’s definitely more inventory and prices have gone down but are still really high. I don’t know why I keep looking since we will be here until at least C goes to college. I think I just miss it there.

wedding it normally makes sense if it's .5% difference, so 3 is still pretty good since you just paid closing costs. We just closed on 2.875 last month.. which is 2 whole percentage points lower than when we bought 😂😂. Man we really bought at the tip top of rates. joelies I am trying to pump myself up for the holidays, it's going to be hard, but with a vaccine on the way that knock on wood seems effective, and a president that actually wants to get us through this and it distributed, we just have to gut it out. Hang in there and happy to chat too. On that note, since most government seems reluctant to do anything, please consider what you can do to slow down the spread/protect yourselves. We are back to April level of precautions here, no going in places, only delivery and curbside. I know I'm an alarmist, but family/friends that work in hospitals in michigan and wisconsin are running out of staff..so even with more effective treatments, they may not be able to help everyone

You're definitely not being an alarmist tallb. The exponential growth of cases is concerning. I'm almost numb to it by this point but man people piss me off who won't do the bare minimum with wearing masks. I have a feeling my kids will not return to school at all this school year. 😕

I feel like I got a lot done today. Got reasonably caught up at work, cleaned, baked Cassidy's cake, bought stuff for her Clue adventure tomorrow. Got reservations for birthday activities.

My husband is going to drive me crazy. He has it in his head that he's going to make a turkey for TG. He can't cook anything but the basics and has no clue how to cook a turkey. I don't want a whole turkey because it'd go to waste--it'll just be the 4 of us and his dad. I was going to just get a smoked turkey breast. He's going to be in the kitchen getting in the way annoying me. I think I'm going to buy the turkey breast anyway so we'll have something when he inevitably ruins the turkey.

inthekitty I used to make a turkey each year for Christmas, if you get a small enough one, it’s not that different from a chicken. If you put butter between the skin and put foil on top for the majority of the cooking time (just lift to get some colour the last period of time) the meat it’s less likely to dry out. However, I’d highly recommend getting turkey legs, I did that a few years too and it was always a hit, a lot easier and the meat has so much flavour!

nam2013 raw meat and meat on the bone grosses me out. Don't want to touch it. MH knows this so that's why he's acting like he'll "cook." Except he won't plan any sides, grocery shop for everything in advance, Google how to do it properly, etc. He'll buy one that's way bigger than we need and it will mostly go to waste. So it's guaranteed to be a cluster the day of. I've cooked for Thanksgiving several times. One year I got a smoked turkey from a good BBQ place and MH treated it like raw meat and cooked it so long it was super dry. 🙄 So basically I'm going to let him ruin his turkey and plan accordingly for the meal I'm going to make anyway.

inthekitty I’ve never had a true thanksgiving meal, but I can’t wait to hear what you’re all planning to make! Because of COVID and a newborn I don’t think we’re really going to do anything this year, except ‘gourmetten’ with the kids. Which is a really weird Dutch thing, that involves one of these... That you put on the table 🙄.

That you put on the table 🙄. That looks like my kind of meal. I'm very much into not sticking with tradition just for tradition's sake and will cook stuff I know we'll eat. Not going to go crazy since at most we'll eat 1 meal of leftovers. MH always acts like we have something to prove. He doesn't even like turkey and doesn't eat it any other time of the year. I don't feel like my woman resumé will never be filled if "knows how to stuff a turkey" isn't on it. 🤷♀️ I'd be just as happy with no turkey and just have cranberry sauce.
