My kid came to my bed last night and woke me up to let me know that she woke herself up by talking in her sleep. Uh....cool? 😴

She has her math assessment today and then M is coming over for a playdate. I'll be at work. Have fun dh! 😜

Morning, it's my anniversary but obviously not celebrating. It's also my sister and BIL's anniversary, they got married on our 5th anniversary. MIL of course sent me a million happy anniversary texts about how we are the perfect couple and will have many more years together 🙄 On MH bday she posted on his FB about how he's everything they could wish for in a son...an amazing father (which he is) and wonderful husband, ect. Oh.

I’m headed to the airport. My dad isnt doing as well as I thought. He’s not passing his swallowing tests and can’t walk with a cane right now. They can’t release him to my mom like that so I’m hoping they can release him to me. I can’t have him going to one of those facilities I toured the last time.

Not the best time to be leaving but, whatever.

From what I remember it ended with him saying he wouldn’t have contact with us anymore, he hoped his wife and I could still be friends and he was incredibly sorry. Morning. I spend the morning painting stilts for ds, he’s getting them from Sinterklaas at school... We finished DD’s present last week (silhouet lamp) and it was quite easy, but these stilts will the end of me. Luckily my mom offered to finish them for me/us.

Also I have not taken of my pyjamas today, I just couldn’t be bothered 🙈. We have shrimp with curry & noodles on the menu for tonight, but I’m not sure I’m up for it...

I have B on quarantine for the next 2 weeks. We found out last night that one of the girls on the soccer team that she played against last Saturday, had tested positive. I’m not worried that B picked up covid from the other kid. They are outside plus moving around the entire time as opposed to being in constant contact w one another.
But out of caution and bc it’s her school’s policy, she is quarantining.

Seems like something 2 grown ass men would be able to sit down and discuss/resolve, but isn't happening. I hope you can at least remain friends with the wife.

I'm working half day today. Evie has her 3 month eye appt at 1045 this morning, so I'll work a few hours this morning, get her from school, then a few more hours this afternoon. She's due for more blood work, but she's already worked up enough about the eye appointment, that the blood will wait til next week.

I hope he at least is being supportive of what you are going through with your father. I hope you have a safe, very empty flight, and are able to get them to release your dad and he starts improving.

Morning. I’m at work. It’s slow and I’m grateful because I’m feeling a bit queasy. It took forever to get to sleep last night and I got hungry in the middle of it but didn’t want to get up to get anything to eat. I woke up hungry and with my stomach feeling weird, so I ate first thing and it didn’t help. I don’t feel like I’m sick, just an uneasy stomach. It’s weird, but I’ll make it.

I still feel like I have so much to do for M’s birthday this weekend. They don’t have the cake design he wants at Sam’s, so I couldn’t order it yesterday. Have to go back today, still have to get wrapping paper for his gifts, and figure out a zoom call with family and friends.

I'm surprised she needs to quarantine yummeecookee. Per the CDC the infectious period for a symptomatic person is 2 days before symptoms appear. If asymptomatic it would be 14 days after the last exposure. I just looked this up because the neighbor we drive to school sometimes has a fever. He is being tested tomorrow. We were last with him on Friday morning so we wouldn't be defined as close contacts.

So, I had planned a small party for S next weekend. We were going to have a local company come to set up an ninja course in the backyard, and have a few of his friends come over for a few hours. Last night MH realized that he will ahve to quarantine for 2 weeks after his work trip next Monday - Wednesday. So we can't have a party at our house. So I quickly changed everything to this weekend. Of course the ninja course people are booked so it's just kids playing in the backyard.

I am sad, even though I know S will have a blast just playing with his friends. But still, now we don't get the course, and I have to plan a party in a few days instead of over a week.

I think we are going to plan old school games (like egg on a spoon races and things like that), and get a bunch of crap to give the kids as prizes. (it's a total of 6 1st grade boys and their siblings, all ranging from 4 - 9)

Any super fun, EASY, ideas? I want it to be fun, but I am lazy.

jewels, a piñata, C loves pin the tail on the Donkey. Do you have Nerf guns? You could put targets on things and kind of make a course like that or use it as part of an obstacle course. C also enjoys limbo and it is pretty funny. Hot potato is a fun classic.
