chrisy01 Sorry for your shit day...as if one of those alone isn't frustrating enough, to deal with it all at once, I can't imagine your level of stress.

Haven't read everything yet. I just got 5 shots of novacane and am waiting on the numbing to take effect. I plan to get a large strawberry shake on my way home and nap until I'm not numb anymore..

Not another set of furloughs. chrisy01 I’m sorry. That sucks. They probably won’t open for a while with the spikes happening, huh? FX you are safe.

Before I left for work Cadence and the rest of 1st grade was in the library. The librarian asked if anyone knew what a veteran was. Cadence proudly raises her hand and says, "that is someone who takes care of sick animals." Another child raises their hand and says, "It's someone who only eats vegetables." The librarian then spent several minutes explaining the difference between a veterinarian, a vegetarian, and a veteran.

Oh man @wine, your in-laws are something for the books. That denial runs really deep. I’m so sorry they aren’t better to you about these situations. M. Sorry for the awful day, chrisy01!

Finally getting a chance to check in. Today is Josie’s birthday and we were up late last night decorating the upstairs for her. Girl can sleep. I was in her room putting things to the wall and she had no idea. It’s pretty much a regular day but I know she’s excited to celebrate in school and then she has tap this afternoon. She seems to think that her instructor is going to let her run the class as a birthday present , so I’m letting him deal with that when she gets there. We’re having pizza and Cookie Puss tonight (i’m sure you Northeast girls know what I’m talking about). It’s as insane looking as I remember the cake to be when I was younger.

The shake and nap sound nice but I dread dental work so so SO much! It only took an hour and 15 minutes instead of 2 hours. But I cant feel a thing and keep biting my lips and tongue. Ordering the shake was amusing. You really need your tongue to move to talk 😂 almost home now.

Morning. I took S to school and her assistant teacher had a mask on this morning. I also had S wear her mask. Then I went to the salon and got like 5 inches cut off. Now I’m home with V. DH ended up taking the day off work because he had a doctor appt he needed to go to. I can’t remember if I told you guys but he was having some issues a while back and the labs showed he had elevated liver enzymes. The doc had him get labs after a couple weeks and then after a month. The enzymes are still high so today they did a bunch more labs, and an ultrasound. The US came back normal so now he’s waiting on labs. I’m sure he’s fine but who the heck know anymore. We are also having some winter weather, it looks a bit like a snow globe outside, meanwhile it was 80 degrees last Friday. Global warming is really making things crazy this year. wineallthetime I’m sorry your ILs are being jerks. Honestly if I was your H, I’d cut them out of my life for how they are acting. I hope he ends up with a dude. chrisy01 I hope you’re able to keep your job and ugh to the computer issues.

Hi. We’re in a winter storm warning through tonight but it hasn’t started snowing yet. N is supposed to have gymnastics so we’ll play it by ear if the weather gets bad.
Just got the email that we’ll be switching to full distance learning for December. Next week will be hybrid to transition and they’ll now have the whole week of thanksgiving off to prepare for the switch. I figured it was coming, but I’m not looking forward to it. Hopefully things calm down and we can be back in person in January.

trtlcrzy I hope your H is ok. Also, I am shocked that they haven't been wearing masks! B's daycare/preschool has been masked up this whole time. Teachers all the time... kids are recommended but they are able to take them off when needed, I think until 5 years old, then they wear them the whole time. I know things have been worse here in the northeast for longer, but I honestly thought that's how it was everywhere! Also guster yum to cookiepuss. Carvel is literally my favorite. There are no local stores here anymore but all the grocery stores carry their cakes. My mom used to buy extra crunchies to keep at home for when we had ice cream at home. Best ever.

Can someone please share what Cookie Puss is? Or not...maybe I don't want to know. trtlcrzy I hope everything is okay with your H. I learned today that I need to count pills when you pick up your prescription from the pharmacy. I ordered refills on all of Evie's meds last night. One of them, her anti inflammatory, came back and said it wasn't due yet. I gave her the last pill this morning, she takes them twice a day. I got the refill on 10/21, so the 60 pills I should have received should have lasted another 10 days or 20 pills. I called the pharmacy and they said they would have a manager review the tape of when they filled the script and call me back. She called me back and said the film didn't show anything. Okay...but they agreed to give me another 20 pills until I would have been due. So I take it as their lack of admission, is their admission. I definitely counted everything when I got home today and learned a lesson.

@whip I had the same thought. Wanting to know, but maybe not. Pus/puss is not a word I would want associated with food. 😩 trtlcrzy The teachers didn’t wear masks at all this year? I am wow at that. I would have hoped that was at least a norm across the board. I knew some areas didn’t make younger kids wear masks, but teachers should have been.

Someone at work had to quarantine for 14 days, so I just agreed to work the rest of this week and most of next week. She didn’t say if they actually have it or just exposed, but I’ll find out tomorrow. I’m glad I had today to get some things done.

All schools have been open full time in person, no distancing between students, distancing between students and teachers. My h has been wearing a mask in school since the beginning of the year, but it is certainly not the norm over here. Since a couple of weeks masks are mandatory for students 12> and teachers in hallways, stairways, breakrooms etc, not in classrooms, do not ask me about the logic behind all of this.
No masks period in elementary schools.

So my shoulder/collarbone pain was finally getting better, then it moved to my neck. The neck pain was finally going away. Then the pt assistant moved something in my shoulder last Friday and the original pain is back. I'm so disheartened by this. I was looking forward to being pain free dang it.

The latest stat I heard was 1 in 56 people in this state have it. There no mask mandate and a lot of people don’t mask. 1/4 of the patients in my hospital are covid positive. Her preschool has no precautions, they are taking temps on the way in but that’s all.

I really debated hard at switching preschools the last couple weeks leading up to school starting but ultimately ended up sending her. Idk if it’s a Baptist thing (that’s the denomination of her church preschool) that they don’t care about covid or what but I’m not impressed.

It’s an ice cream cake from Carvel— No vanilla and chocolate ice cream on the inside with a layer of crunchies which I like the chocolate part of an Oreo but better as a layer between. Cookie Puss is a character that Carvel created. He supposed to be a space alien. His nose is an ice cream cone (usually scoops of black raspberry sherbet) and his eyes are made of open-faced flying saucers which is Carvel‘s version of a ice cream sandwich).
