In talking about Carvel ice cream, I will throw down with anyone who thinks they can find a better mint chocolate chip than what’s happening at Carvel.

So my shoulder/collarbone pain was finally getting better, then it moved to my neck. The neck pain was finally going away. Then the pt assistant moved something in my shoulder last Friday and the original pain is back. I'm so disheartened by this. I was looking forward to being pain free dang it. That’s frustrating, I’m sorry. |

I’m sorry, @klongoria That sounds painful. I hope your local government get themselves together, trtlcrzy. I am also shocked about the lack of masks. Thanks, I hope so too. There is a city council meeting, I think tonight, and they are voting on a mask mandate. I hope they get it together. The thing that people keep saying her is “you can’t enforce it” but clearly other states can, they just don’t want to. |

lahdeedah mwhip and whoever else asked... I know guster explained it, but Cookiepuss was HUGE here growing up in the 80s. Like a Cookiepuss cake was everything every kid wanted. And as she mentioned... carvel crunchies are a national treasure. Nothing beats them. I prefer a basic Carvel Ice cream cake over the cookiepuss. But I wouldn't say no to it!!

Everywhere you go here, there are signs on doors that state as a State of KS mandate, masks must be worn to enter. But no one is going to kick you out of a store, or say anything, if you don't have one one. I avoid going anywhere near those types of people. |

I’m definitely intrigued. If I ever move to the NE or visit for an extended period of time, I may have to try the ice cream. Are there carvel ice cream shops or they just in grocery stores? |

Yeah- I mean I’m in MA.GA country MS and when my GOV issued the mandate, most people comply- like I would say 98-99%. All Stores/restaurants have signs. Even after he took the mandate away, most people still wore masks. There were a few that felt like they didn’t need to, but within two weeks my county went on a list that put the mandate back in place. I do feel like they are trying to appease and suck up to 45 because I couldn’t figure out why my gov would do that right when cases were going back up. And he just tweeted out today that his youngest daughter tested positive . 🤦🏽♀️ Hopefully she will be ok. If they put it out there, most people will comply and it will help slow the spread. I just don’t get it. I hope they get it passed. |

After 5 calls with a nurse I’m cleared to go to work tomorrow. They person who got covid was exposed after our meeting.
I also got told I’m safe for now. My boss B is not. She is furloughed. I’m probably more angry then she is about it.

lahdeedah, they sell some at the grocery store (I don't think Cookiepuss is there) but if you come to this area, find a Carvel store and get one freshly made from there. Or even just a sundae with the crunchies. My dad and I used to go there after dinner and we'd bring back ice cream for her, she'd have it made with crunchies on the bottom, in the middle and on the top, and then we'd get the hot fudge in a big container on the side. Every week, the same thing. And with coffee soft serve. Man I really want Carvel now. There was one in our town growing up too guster, run by a local family. I went to school with their kids and everyone hung out there.

So 3 out of the 6 schools in town are fully remote tomorrow due to reports of COVID made too late to accurately contact trace. Only the elementary schools were spared (this time). I appreciate that they ARE contact tracing but as DH put it, is this the beginning of the end? I honestly would appreciate if they'd play it safe and send the kids home until after the holidays. I just don't trust people. ☹️

I am going to speak for New England and say Cookie Puss is not a phrase I’ve ever heard. Yes, the carvel ice cream cake is a staple, but I have never seen that one and it’s scary face!
I say the ice cream is meh but the crunchies and nostalgia make it the best.

Our mask mandate is somewhat enforced. Restaurants are being inspected often to make sure people are masked and social distanced. The mandate we do fine for is groups larger than whatever our allowed number is. Right now no more than ten people can be together. And it should be the same people who you are often with, not different people every day. This is hard to enforce but it allows for hefty fines when parties are being held.

jewels and guster I have a Carvel like a mile away but I have never heard of Cookie Puss. I get cakes for sure but never seen that one. Also, if DH gets my cake at the grocery store and not fresh from the actual Carvel, we have problems.

I don’t think I have seen anyone out without a mask in 6 months yet our numbers say my city is trying to win “first to reach heard immunity.” We had 120 cases just this weekend.
