He’s in recovery. They were able to save the nerve and get all the cancer. I’m hoping he doesn’t have a problem with dementia at night during this hospital stay. They aren’t allowing any visitors so at least my mother won’t have to deal with it.

tgrimes, I hope all goes well today! How are you holding up? I’ve been okay. I think my sister and I might fly out there for his birthday next month.

Another busy ass work day, so just getting on now.
I did get a jump on my Xmas shopping and ordered the Barbie townhouse for B for Xmas. It had been sold out initially but my local target had ONE in stock so I bought it. I’m so excited- she’s going to freak out!

mamabear I guess it would depend where the wedding was and how close of a friend she is. Would you have to quarantine upon getting home? Would you be staying overnight in a hotel? If no, any possibility of just going for the outdoor parts? Ive been pretty comfortable with outdoor events but inside makes me nervous Sorry, I didnt actually help there at all.

Would any of you travel for a wedding right now? My college friend is having a smallish (50 people) wedding in 2 weeks . Ceremony outdoors, reception indoors (potential outdoor space) and I was originally planning on going (mask on of course) but now I'm not so sure.. I did travel for my SIL’s wedding last month. It was smaller though, 15 ppl (that incl the bride and groom). I prolly would not go to a wedding of 50 people for a college friend though. 50 just seems like a lot.

slenle 50 would make me a bit nervous too. Outdoors helps. It would also help me if I knew others would be wearing masks and if it was in an area following recommendations.

She was one of my closest friends in college (was in my wedding 10 yrs ago) and we keep in touch but arent as close anymore. It's about 5.5 hrs away so yes to hotel, currently wouldn't have to quarantine although I'd lay low after that. But Thanksgiving is only 5 days later and we'll be seeing my parents Personally, I would skip it with thanksgiving being so close. I also have learned not to trust people I don’t know, and heck some I do know. The wedding I spoke about in AL last month, my good friend was mad that they weren’t forcing the mask policy like she was told they would. If you do really want to support her, I would just plan to do the outside wedding and then see how the reception is playing out and if you’re not comfortable, then call it a night.

I came into contact with a person who tested positive for Covid. I’m waiting for a nurse from work to call me to find out my next steps. I was near her on the 29th so the 2 weeks are almost up but because I was sick last week I have to talk with a nurse. I have two negative covid tests from last week so here’s hoping everything checks out.

I wouldn’t go, mamabear. 50 people plus an inside venue would make me nervous.

Jeez the olds really shouldn’t be on FB. FIL just called me to tell me he created a new profile because he got conned into giving someone money on FB. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ I cannot.
Then he had me almost in tears laughing at him talking about some pics my bonus daughter posted the other day. He didn’t realize she was dressed for Halloween. I bout died at his comments. She was catwomen complete with a whip. 🤣🤣🤣

For me personally, I would only go to a wedding of a close friend or family member. Although it sounds like they are taking smart precautions.

tgrimes I’m glad they were able to get all the cancer. I hope his nights go ok. I found out that 3 teachers at S’s preschool have gotten covid. I think I’m going to start sending her in a mask starting tomorrow. People suck, I just don’t understand why some people are so against wearing a dang mask. The antimaskers are so bad here.

No. I’m not doing anything indoors right now and 50 ppl is way too many outdoors in my opinion. I would only go to the wedding of a very close family member with how things are going, and it would have to be outdoors with very few people.
