I worked until 1045 last night. I was nervous about how Evie would feel this morning so I've been awake since 5.
Fortunately so far, shes totally fine. She came into my bedroom at 613 because her damn alarm clock didn't get shut off yesterday and went off like a school day.
We need to finish decorating for Halloween, clean the house, Im going to go grab some pizzas. Grandparents are coming over to stay at our house for candy and we will go to a few neighbors with Evie. She got a lot already from our city's trunk or treat last night.

We made the decision not to do trunk or treating this year L was devastated. However we did the pizza thing last night and this morning monster donuts from Krispie Kereme. FYI this is the last Saturday for the buy one dozen get one for a dollar. I also told L that I talked with Jack Skellington and he was going to come by last night after he slept to fill is trick or treat bag. So that cheered him up. Today’s plan besides donuts is to watch Halloween movies, a family zoom call to show off costumes and arts and crafts. Not the Halloween we wanted but it should still be fun.

chrisy01 those donuts are so cute, but I am not a Krispy Kream fan. They are so sweet, I can barely eat a glazed. All that extra frosting on there, makes my stomach hurt! But I know evie would love them!

I love Halloween! I made pumpkin rolls and apple monster bites for breakfast, and I have a Play-Doh craft to put out for them later. I still don’t know what we’re doing for tonight, but we’re going to make the most of it!

Good morning everyone! It’s a freezing day out here on the pitch but thankfully it’s B’s last game of the season. We stopped at Dunkin first and got some of those pumpkin spice munchkins. The plan is to have SIL and her husband over later tonight, have an outdoor bonfire and see who’s around trick-or-treating. We should have a thread in here for all the Halloween costume pics!

Morning. Today are ds’ birthday celebrations. It started with a spat between me and dh, seriously why do men think it’s a good idea to start clearing out a cluttered cabinet that nobody has looked in for a months on days like these? And then not really clearing it, but putting it all in a box and placing it in our spare room... what is the purpose behind that?! Anyhow lots of people stopped by (not inside) to give ds a present and lots of cakes were handed out in return . I must admit I’m quiet tired, somehow the normal two hour madness is less intense than people ringing our doorbell throughout the day. According to ds however this is the best birthday ever though!

Oh and RIP to Sir Sean Connery. :/ Yes, saw that. I read he passed in his sleep at his home in the Bahamas at 90. That’s about the best way to ‘go’ that you could ask for, I guess.

Hiiii. It is COLD this morning, we had our first frost. I went for a run and was feeling pretty impressed with myself for dressing appropriately. Except when I turned around to head back home, I was suddenly facing the wind and realized immediately that it was going to be a rough run home. Whoops. I was so frozen when I finally got home.
DH and Colin baked a coffee cake, which was perfect with some coffee after a long, hot shower. Now DH is at Costco and the boys are playing. We called my parents and I mentioned to my Mom that our airline credits expire soon so we're going to book for April and hope for the best. There were so many tears! I really hope it works out.
The boys all have haircuts later but I am going to stay home and probably watch a Hallmark movie.

Good morning!
Just picked up the kids from my parents’. DH and I had a great dinner at a French restaurant last night, it was so nice to be leisurely and then sleep late this morning.
I’ll be carving a pumpkin this afternoon (after DH cleans it out, of course 😜) My parents and sister/nephew are coming over tonight for pizza and festivities; BIL is on call so we’ll the let kids ToT on our street. Sounds like many of our neighbors will be hanging out outside in driveways so should be fun.

flamingo indulge me, what did you have? I can’t wait to go to a restaurant again... Our appetizer was PEI mussels in a wine/garlic/butter broth. They were fantastic and we sat there dipping bread in the broth afterwards. For entrees, I had roasted duck breast and DH had beef stroganoff. Our server heard us talking about DH’s deployment and brought out a dessert trio for us as a surprise/‘thank you’...a macaron, Raspberry creme brûlée, and a pumpkin-chocolate fudge(?) thing that was amazing.

H had her last soccer game this morning. She’s bummed the season is over because it’s so fun for her. Then we came home and I spent some time outside cleaning up my garden and pots. It’s in the 60s but windy. I had an eye appt at 1:30 and he dilated my eyes so they feel crazy. Right now I’m nursing S and then want to close my eyes for like an hour. Tonight DH will take the big girls ToTing in our neighborhood while V and I pass out candy at home.

Hi! Late check in today. I worked this morning and had an all around busy day. My mom got here around noon and the neighbor had some Halloween stuff for the kids to do this afternoon. M was hell bent on trick or treating, so Mh took the boys to a few houses while I cooked. He said most people just put buckets outside. They ended up at our neighbors’ house at the end. She is a party planner and had all her stuff out to make balloon animals.

Hi!
We’re watching football and recovering after a busy day. I am worn out. I got my pumpkin done and the house tidied up before everyone descended for pizza, etc.
So now that we’ve seen a Halloween here, I can officially say our neighborhood goes all out, and I need to up our game! A lot of people were out in driveways, which is what we did. My next door neighbor, a pulmonologist, was in scrubs handing out ‘Covid vaccines’ (tequila Jell-O shots 😂) Ppl had music going, one family had their driveway and parking court area decorated like the movie It (complete with the dad in a Pennywise costume and red balloons for all the kids.) It was nuts.

Halloween was so weird this year that I forgot to take costume photos! One of our state guidelines was to trick or treat in day light so parents could reign in their groups better but a time was never given. So it’s 4:30 and I realized I needed to get candy outside and get C going if we wanted to hit some houses.
Our street was dead but the next street over had about ten houses that had tables with the candy spread out per guidelines. It was great and I think C got more this year since a lot of people made bags. We were home by six and maybe 15 of my bags were taken. I have a lot more since years past we get over a hundred kids.
We had movie night and watched My Spy. I wasn’t a fan but C enjoyed it. After he went to bed we finished out season one of Dark. I’m happy to have that extra hour tonight and C wanted dad to go to the game tomorrow at 8:30am so I guess I’m forced to sleep in.

Our neighborhood goes all out for Halloween too flamingo. I love it. Lots of very impressive decorations. This year people got creative with cool delivery of candy (a couple houses had tube shoots). One house had a contraption with an interactive screen. It asked the girls if they want to hear a Halloween joke. After they read the joke candy came out a shoot. Then the screen had "Moooo" written across it (M was a cow) she loved it and it kept asking her cow questions. Usually we have a lot of people drive in from other areas but not this year. Probably for the best.

Tomorrow I think we'll watch Coco and make pan de muerto. On my long drive home today I found myself missing my grandpa and my husband's grandma. So tomorrow will be a good day to share memories of them.

Hi hi - we had a fun halloween. Our neighborhood had a scavenger hunt during the day and then we went trick or treating, but was just walking the neighborhood to see if anyone has stuff out, and a lot did! Most had baggies of sorts and the buckets were overflowing. Mh stayed home to monitor our treat table with k and we had some customers early, but then was eerily quiet.
I also finally fixed our plugged tub drain after a few days..I bought a tub auger but ended up fixing it by plunging the darn thing. It only took me 2 years to finally use our basement shower..now I need to do some serious tub cleaning tomorrow bc the kids need baths 🙈.

Hello! Fun Halloween here too. We went to my sister's and did games with good prizes and such. However, I was running down our stairs last night and slipped. Fell down the stairs into our child gate. Ouch. I think I broke my toe but otherwise just a bit bruised up.

Halloween was a success. A lot of us had fire pits in our driveways and tables where candy was laid out. We could hang back around the fire at a safe distance and let kids come up and grab their candy. I took my kiddos around in the neighborhood and several of my neighbors were giving out full size candy bars. I think no one expected many kids so they went all out. 😁
I had a fair amount of adult treats last night but happy to report that I feel fine.
