lahdeedah I’ll have to look for those sour bats, thanks for the tip! Haribo gummy bears are my very favorite. For ToT, apparently everyone on our street just hangs out in their driveways and socializes, so we were planning to do vodka-soaked gummy bears for the adults.

I'm sorry for your family's loss trtlcrzy. That's so sad. I'm sorry about your Dad's diagnosis, wedding. My Dad is going through brain radiation because most people with his type of cancer end up with it in their brain. What are they telling your Dad to expect? My Dad was warned about hair loss (his just grew back in) and short term memory loss. Glad it was nothing too serious yummeecookee. |

I can't really fault the players about what happened at the WS game. MLB knew Turner was waiting on a test result and let him play anyway. His coaches and team were exposed to him all day long, I can almost understand why he would think nothing of rejoining them post-game. He's a professional athlete - it doesn't mean he's a selfish idiot but it doesn't mean he ISN'T, either.
It makes me wonder if MLB was ever truly following protocols or did they just say eff it, the season is practically over? They better plan to pay for the health care (and heaven forbid, funerals) that inevitably are linked back to this.

Hola.
It has been a busy couple days. I got my hair cut and colored today so I look better and more fall-ish. We had a roofer come out to discuss replacement...goodbye, monies. Our new doors (that have been hanging out in the garage) will be installed Monday a.m. and then the staining/painting will commence on Tuesday and pretty much last until Friday (multi-step process, natch).
DH found out he is *for sure* leaving on the night/morning of Nov. 3/4--3 a.m. at the airport on base, so lovely. So I think my mom is going to come spend the night so we don't have to drag the kids out in the MOTN.

So the 2 cases at Cadence's school are listed as causing 50 exposures. And those are just from in school exposure, who knows about outside of that.
I told mh we need to be more aware of our surroundings since it is so close. Our school is basically just kids in our neighborhood, so that's our grocery store, gas station, etc.
Idk it stresses me out.

wineallthetime I’m glad they caught it and I hope treatment works. yummeecookee I’m glad he’s ok. Vertigo is so horrible but not permanent so hopefully he is better soon.

trtlcrzy that is so sad about her passing. Definitely what scares me the most about this, it effects everyone so different. Im glad she was not alone.

People aren’t doing that and our awesome contact tracing is now behind because people have so many contacts. We haven’t had a positive at Cs school yet but I’m sure it’s coming. The Governor is having a press conference tomorrow to discuss new restrictions. I get that everyone is burned out on the Covid thing. I am too. But why can’t we skip a year of travel, not go to parties, and have holidays at home? It sucks but it’s not going to end unless we all make these sacrifices. The vaccine is not going to be our saving grace but my friends don’t seem to get that. |

I’m with you wedding... I was talking to my sister yesterday and we both concluded that we were soooooooo done with all of it, especially the emotional side of it, the constantly having to overthink everything, but that that doesn’t mean we don’t play by the current rules! Our cdc trace system is a mess too... it’s just to much 🙁. inthekitty surreal is the right word. I still wake up sometimes and think to my self ‘this is actually happening’ or get caught of guard when I see a bus passing by full of people with face masks. |
