Cadence and I are reading through the entire Junie B. Jones series. We're pretty far along, she's a first grader now. Well, her teacher read the first first grader book aloud to them. Cool, cool, we've already read that one. Well, this week she started reading the Halloween one. She's not reading them in order clearly and has skipped several books to get to the Halloween one. FFC: I'm annoyed because we haven't read that one yet and now Cadence isn't going to want to hear it again from me.
I also feel like I do a WAY better Junie B. Jones voice than her teacher.

yummeecookee, that's good news. My Dad would get vertigo really bad. One time I had to go pick him up from work because he couldn't stand up straight and kept vomiting when he tried to.

It's really nice here but it doesn't really matter because I'm in a gross storage room office without windows. I'm working my other job today and tomorrow in a different location than usual in the middle of the state. They recently had a big 'Rona outbreak yet hardly anyone here is wearing masks. Wonder why?  I can't wait until I can go home SAT morning. My room is in dumpy old WWII barracks, which I'm used to here, but the last couple of times I've been here I'd had a big room. This time my room is tiny and I'm in mixed male/female barracks and there is only 1 shower/toilet for women. Also the others staying there are young and were up past midnight last night. Luckily I'm partially deaf so part of the noise was cancelled out, but the sound of doors closing was still super loud and the hallway lights are motion activated so there was bright light coming in under the 1 inch gap of my door. *shakes cane* Put at towel scrunched up at the bottom of your door to block out the light. If they’re being loud again, go out there and shake your cane at them 😉 |

I’m so sorry wineallthetime. I hope the chemo is able to shrink the tumor enough so they can get it out eventually. I hope his treatment goes smoothly. yummeecookee I’m glad it was vertigo and nothing more serious. |

S had a pajama party at school this morning. Her school doesn’t recognize Halloween, maybe it’s a baptist thing?, so they do this instead. When she was at school I watched the borat subsequent movie film, which I very much enjoyed. After H gets home from school both big girls have eye appts. I need to schedule one for myself soon. I switched with my coworker so no work tonight for me.
Covid life update. I’ve started getting emails from the principal saying someone in the school has tested positive for covid almost every day lately. This is not good. One of the classes in her school has gone to distance learning because of it. So far H is not a close contact, thankfully. I think I told you guys that my BIL’s aunt was in the ICU on a vent with covid. They discontinued care and she passed away on Monday. She was a healthy 67 year old before covid. Very sad. One of her daughters was with her in the hospital when she passed, I’m glad she wasn’t alone.

How can we, when we allow things to happen like oh, idk, letting a baseball player continue the game in the world series even though he tests positive. Oh, he refused to leave the field. So bring security in. It's not ok to risk other's lives for you and your baseball game. it's a GAME!!! And the other players signed off on it saying they were fine with it. Well then all their asses need to quarantine now too, instead they hopped on a plane to Dallas.

The latest stats I’ve heard is that 1 in 17 people in my state are infected with covid. 60% of the tests yesterday were positive. It is not ok and makes me want to never leave my house. I wish people would just open their eyes and care about other people. |

I have found Haribo sour vampire bats and OMG I can’t stop eating them.
I bought a bag of mixed gummy bears for M2’s class and kept half the bag for the boys’ halloween because it was a lot. They had those in there and they were delicious. Yesterday at target I saw the big bag of them for $1. I’m glad they only had two left because I cannot stop myself.

Re: covid. Yes, care about others just a little bit please. That's great that you don't care if you get it or are asymptomatic, but that doesn't mean you won't pass it to someone who isn't as fortunate. It's very disturbing to me how many are willing to write off the older members of our society as acceptable losses. 😔

I can sort of (not really) grasp that he wanted to finish watching the game, to be part of the moment, but do it far away from every one and leave after straight away, to jump in to a celebratory pile (mask free) in just so incredibly selfish & dangerous!!!

My dad was negative. He has been scared of getting infected and so incredibly cautious this whole time (very unlike how I normally see my dad), it would have been incredibly ironic if he of all people has gotten it.

My city has about 30 news cases a day. T’s friend who is quarantined from aftercare now has his sister quarantined because of a case on her soccer team. We got the “make sure you take everything home over break” email today already so I’m thinking we probably won’t be going back to school.

wineallthetime I'm so sorry to see the update about your dad. I hope he responds well to chemo and you get some positive news soon! Evie is at her Girl Scouts Halloween party. It was nice to actually be able to drop her off and not have to wait around. Because it's cool and windy, they were in the garage, with the doors open, and all the girls had to wear their masks. She was very excited about it since we missed the first actual meeting.
