I’m so sick of the toddler. He’s stuck here with no one to play with and I don’t want to play tractors or color a million trucks for him. I told him to go find something to do or he’s going to be put in his crib. (His brothers could play with him but usually don’t want to). What the heck, isn’t that the whole point of having more than one kid?

It must not be a good year for cider klw we just found Apple cider here too. I went to make apple pancakes with it today and it tastes HORRIBLE! I’m glad I tested a sip before making the batter. So we had pancakes with sprinkles instead. Minerva oh that IS so terrible. Poor guy, hopefully he’s out of recovery soon and feeling better. DS broke his arm falling off his bike a couple years ago.

I slept til 9 and I'm about to make apple fritters. I think I'm embracing brunch today. It's my last day if vacation and I am torn between lazing around or using the time to handle a few odd chores. Really I want H to handle the chores 🤣 We also need a new riding mower and I am very much not looking forward to making that purchase I’ll be by for my apple fritter in ~4 hours. 😉 If I could hand deliver them to you, I would! You deserve it

Oh no Minerva, I hope the op goes well and he heals up quickly. I did a long run this morning, longest one in months and now I am on the couch were I plan to stay for the foreseeable future. DD is playing and DH is planning to go for a short run soon.

It’s a cleaning /cooking/baking day here. At least we all slept in since H and I stayed up late watching 1917.

He took a really bad fall off his bike, which he only just learned to ride last week. 😭 Poor A! Let me know if there's anything we can do to help. ❤️

What the heck, isn’t that the whole point of having more than one kid? I know, right?! They are farther apart in age (7 and 9) but like they couldn’t build duplo with him or something. I suggested to H that we have one more kid so ds3 can play with someone else and he was like Hard Pass. ;-)

Thanks guys. He’s one of my favorite people to talk politics with, he’s super liberal and he tolerates all my anti-Trump tiktok videos that I spam him with. I tolerate him texting me at midnight (he’s retired so he stays up super late) asking me if I saw Maddow or a particular twitter thread 😂😂
2020 really does suck.

It was in the 80s here yesterday and 50s today. The entire left side of my face feels like it’s about to explode (allergy induced ear infection I think) and I didn’t put enough coffee grinds in the ninja last night so I had to remake the coffee this morning. Today will not be a day of great accomplishments. Yesterday I was making coffee at 4 a.m. and I somehow spilled the entire drawer out of my grinder and onto the floor. I was so tired and irritated I sighed, grabbed my bench scraper and scooped them straight into the filter. Whatever. I mop daily. 5 second rule.

We had our daylight savings last night, so it was nice to get an extra hour of sleep. Carved a pumpkin with DD, and went on a drive to look at some fall colors. Now just having a cup of maple tea and hanging out.

DS just saw himself in the full length mirror and started shouting NO and pulled his pants off. Relatable. I can vibe with this. I feel you, little man.

I've been looking at this job posting for 2 weeks. It would be a really great career move for me but the commute is over an hour and I just don't know if I could do that long term. I know I should just apply and see what happens..

Nothing makes me angrier than messing up my coffee. I look forward to that first drink so much!

I suck at making cookies from scratch and this is the first time I've done sugar cookies to decorate...
Is it normal the dough i put into the fridge to chill is still kinda sticky and not firm/dough like?

I used our new Bowflex machine this morning and my legs are jelly. DH and I committed to starting with 3x/week, but I'm excited to finally get some exercise again since I'm not able to go to the gym at work anymore.

We told the kids no ToT this morning. They were briefly disappointed then moved on. I feel like they have reached the point of "whats new" when it comes to canceled things. I'm going to try to make Saturday night fun for them still.

He’s out of surgery and it went well. He’s a little slow to wake because they gave him a lot of pain meds and he missed out on a lot of sleep last night, but he has roused a couple times. Heaving a big sigh of relief.

H always buys his mom and dad breakfast on Sundays so he hurried home from work to get mil and bil their breakfast to drop off and picked dd up to take with him out fils.
I'm home alone. On a Sunday morning with coffee. It's so nice, I don't even care that my neck still hurts.

I'm going to try to make Saturday night fun for them still. My 7 year old planned out what he wants to do instead. 1: decorate the house and have each room be a “home” to TOT in. 2: glow sticks party with spooky stories 3: spider cupcakes I was thinking a “scary” movie and popcorn balls.
