This is helpful. As a SAHM it feels like I don't have much to write in my planner. Now I have some new ideas, thanks!

I use a DayTimer planner and use Franklin Planner insert pages. One of the things I love about it is the ability to get lots of inserts so I can really keep my life in my planner. I have sections for Books Read, Exercise & Calorie Tracking, notes, address book pages, birthday & annual event trackers. I have a medical information section and a section for travel plans, gift ideas, and other lists. I also have a section of blank pages that I use for notes, letters, ideas, journal, conversation records, or other things you need to write down. I think my favorite part is the Financial Section with registers for all my accounts, keeping track of bills & payments, budget pages, and a savings calculator/tracker.
I'm really old school, still doing all my banking record keeping on paper. But then I'm old school about all my record keeping, it's all on paper. That's why the DayTimer/Franklin Planner system works so well for me. I don't have to re-write everything every year, I can just switch out the annual pages and keep everything else in the planner binder. It's so much easier than transferring everything each new year.
