School is out today for teacher in-service so I took a vacation day to have a girls' day with M. We already got donuts, went to vote and stopped at kohls. She has requested Chilis for lunch.

wineallthetime I really hope it just looks worse because of the swelling. Will y'all get the results today? He said he might be able to tell something today but full results will take 5-7 days. |

The neighbors gave us one of those haunted house gingerbread kits...which, super nice, thanks. But the decorating is stressing me out. Between my strong perfectionist streak, and the practical concerns of orange and black icing in the hands of children...  Oh lovely, a bag of little round candies was just spilled all over the floor. Brb. |

Ds is handing out treats at school next week for his birthday. It needed to be free of;
-(refined) sugar
-nuts
-gluten
-corn (including flour/syrup)
-dried fruits...
Oh and the teacher does not want the treats to be ‘fun’ (her words not mine). So no umbrellas, bags kids want to keep, little presents (in stead of food) etc... This combined with ds very restricted list of things he will eat proved extremely difficult. I finally found a cake mix that checked every box & ordered little okapi prints on edible paper, most expensive treat I’ll every make but ds is happy and that’s what counts right 😂.

The look on a kid when he/she walks into the class room with the tray of treats and that insanely proud look will make me tear up any day. But she didn’t want ‘mess’ in her classroom that she would find three weeks later, kids poking each other’s eyes out with sticks etc... |

I’m about to leave to drop Dh off for his vasectomy. He’s been pacing around the house for an hour and it’s making me chuckle. He just took his prescribed Xanax and wondering what he’ll get for pain killers 🙄.. All i got for pp recovery was ibuprofen. Men...

So many hugs wineallthetime. That was really frustrating for us as well, the gradual drip of information before my Dad's official diagnosis. I'm sorry you all are dealing with this. It's ev even harder given the restrictions in place right now. Thinking of you and crossing all my fingers and toes. |

nam2013 reminds me of when contractors ‘over price’ a quote because they really don’t want to do the job...like the teacher has made it so impossibly restrictive, most parents would say ‘why bother?’ And skip it.

I believe you have to be sans period for 12 months before they’ll consider you in menopause. |

We took a break for a doctor's appt and stop at my parents', and now C is back at it, bless her heart. This is like watching them mix Play Doh colors. I'm having wine and letting it gooooo.... |

Also on team periods suck at 41. I was on the pill almost constantly from 18 until I had the boys, so I'm still getting used to truly having a cycle. Add aging to it, and ugh. And I'm actually still super regular, it's just gross and painful. And pointless!
My Mom was in peri-menopause for freaking EVER and I assume that's at least in part genetic. Yay.

I just have to aw for a second... i ordered prints from Smallwood home of our family pics and I love them so much! The fall colors are so good, it’s hard to believe it’s basically winter already.

Kids had the dentist today. They took C first, all alone from me in the hallway. He marched right it. DD went next and said when she got in C was talking nonstop to the woman and they were all cracking up. At 2 years old, I’m pretty sure I had to lay in the chair and hold my other 3 down.
