I'm sorry kim22 , glad your family wasn't affected, though. That seems excessive to close an entire school for 2 positive, unrelated cases. Did they say when you'll reopen?

We have had 3 positive cases in the 1 1/2 months Evie has been back in school, a student, a teacher, and a para. No one else tested positive in the schools after, so I think the things our school is doing is working.

I think they closed because we were the first cases in the district so there was a bit of panic. They said we won’t always close for 2 cases. Reopening is scheduled for 10/29. The school usually has 1400 kids and only about 300 came back. My classes have 2 kids each and DS is one of 7 in his class so I’m not worried about catching the virus, I just don’t want to have to keep being in and out.

Our school would usually have closer to 400, so huge difference there!

kim22 Our whole district closed before we ever truly opened because we are in Governor Cuomo’s “red zone.” We only had some high needs special ed groups in the buildings so far and we’re about to phase in a few grades through the district but now we are all remote until at least the 26th. I’ll be surprised if we go back on the 26th.

I can proudly say that I am not the first snowfall N13'er this year!  Woo Hoo! We had a little yesterday afternoon but it was pretty falling but didnt accumulate to anything and melted almost instantly. 

The kids were ready to get on their boots, scarfs, mitts, toques, and snow angel their way into the yard. But....they would have been rolling in leaves. #winterbabies
