MH drives me crazy with his inability to say no and set boundaries. The current issue isn't anything major, but he's subbing today and one of his colleagues he barely knows is in dental school and asked if the girls could be guinea pigs for a cleaning. This person is apparently persistent because she asked about a month ago too. It's not covered on our insurance, it's unnecessary exposure during a pandemic, and they already have a dentist they adore with their next cleaning scheduled. I have no doubt there are many other options for her to find prospective patients. Instead he texts me which girl needs a cleaning more.  I said neither. Even without the pandemic, I wouldn't subject my child to a hygenist in school. I know they need people to work on, but work on adults. I don't want to scar my child anymore regarding the dentist than she already is! Right! He drives me crazy with this shit and then always acts annoyed and pushes back a bit when I say no. I get it that it's foreign saying no to you, even to a virtual stranger because you always want to look like the good guy, but grow a pair. nam2013 added exposure (with no mask and breathing close to another's face for a prolonged period of time) seems really over-the-top right now. I was a provider-in-training at one point in time so I understand that perspective, but certainly don't view a stranger's problem as mine. |

Hi! Busy day. I’m can barely hear out of my right ear but I’m not in as much pain as yesterday. We already finished E’s 2 (ish) year photos. L had early dismissal so we are on our way to knots for our event. My costume is not weather appropriate I’m going to be baking. Bur L says I look just like Anna.

Dental work involves a lot of in the face breathing with no mask so it's exasperating to me that my MH is more concerned about making an annoying stranger happy than thinking about the kids. |

Hard pass. We took j but skipped N's recent cleaning. My own dentist isn't even open for cleanings right now. It's a high risk activity, I would only go if an emergency. This does not qualify |

I’m fine with the dentist (we’ve all been recently for cleanings and B had a filling done) but no thanks to subjecting my kids to a dental trainee.
We have a dental school in a local university here and they do free or low-cost cleanings, dental work and orthodontia. I believe that is how they attract patients to practice on. I guess I assumed that is what all programs do?

DH casually mentioned to a colleague yesterday that he was planning to sell his truck before he deploys, and the guy was like, Well I’m in the market for one! They worked out a fair price so DH will sign everything over on Tues and get a rental for the past week or so that he’ll be here.
I’ve never loved the truck but now that it’s almost gone I’m feeling a little sad and very nostalgic! DH had just bought it brand new when we first met, and it’s driven us, the kids and dog all over the country on our adventures.

Hi.
Don’t think I checked in today. I kept up mostly, but never posted.
I have been watching the go clean girl all afternoon and my gosh I need her to come do my house. I need to show mh some videos and hope that he runs with it since he had nothing but time these days. Ha! The only thing we don’t have is the tide.
However, I cringe at her cleaning without gloves. Now her own house that she does often, not so much, but the dirty other peoples crap, barf! I have a thing about my hands touching dirty, nasty water though. CANNOT handle. Probably why I don’t like cleaning, but I wear gloves.

We made it up north this afternoon. Dh has been able to relax which i was worried about. His employees Covid test was negative (but does have strep) so they office will be closed tomorrow but she’ll be answering calls remotely so at least he won’t have to worry about that.
We went to dinner and were tucked in the back corner of the restaurant which was great for our craziness. Now the kids are swimming which is all they really care about. Since it’s limited capacity I wasn’t sure if they would get to, but there are less than 10 people in the pool, all spread out, so I’m glad they can get it out do their system now.

But then I think she likes that lotion that is super thick to protect their hands🤔 I did was my dishwasher without gloves and regretted that decision. Hoping your h takes over! I am picking up some tide powder tomorrow and need to decide what to clean first.. decisions decisions! |

inthekitty I swear every brain cell this kid is gaining, I’m losing  . flamingo I’m sentimental like that too, I need a new bike, but this was my first new bike (had a lot of second hand ones). And both my kids had their first bike rides on them . chrisy01 adorable!!! I love that second black and white one.

Thanks everyone. We were unsure how she was going to cooperate. We stopped for mini pancakes right before and that cheered her up. Plus the photographer was amazing. I might go back to this location again for him. It was a distance from our house but the only one with availability
