Age: 4 Milestones: I can't really think of any. Challenges: Negotiating. She's all about negotiating. It's both entertaining and frustrating. Funny/cute stories: She talks to the baby in a weird New York accent, which cracks me up! She says stuff like, "Come on, lil baybeh, roll ova!" I can't even type it out correctly, but it's hilarious. FWIW we don't have anyone in our lives with a thick NY accent, so I have no idea where this came from. How are you? Meh. Exhausted. Getting over a cold. Anything else? We have visitors coming from OOT this weekend, and I'm so excited to see them! It's been a long time QOTW: What DOESN'T she sleep with?! She has a ninja turtles pillow, a shopkins pillow, and always a few stuffed animals. Oh, and usually a book. And she usually sneaks her alarm clock into bed. And a blanket. It's a freaking jungle in there.

I can't believe it's Wednesday again already.
Age: 2
Milestones: Nothing in particular. Just a lot more new words and sentences.
Challenges: He's still going through a defiant stage. Then he and DS1 fight all the time lately.
Funny/cute stories: DS1 has been having some health issues again. DS2 is jealous of the attention he's been getting, and he keeps dramaticall throwing himself down on the floor and declaring "I sick!" It's pathetic/cute.
How are you? Tired. DS1 suddenly started having symptoms similar to meningitis Monday night (ironically right after a well-child check where his doctor was really pleased with his health). He was feeling better during the day yesterday then sick again last night. We thought he had a UTI but that came back negative. So now we're just watching him closely and taking him to the ER immediately for tests if he gets worse.
Anything else? Nope!
QOTW: Revisiting an old question: What does your child sleep with at night? He has a stuffed fox, cleverly named Fox, and a little IKEA toddler pillow. He carries the pillow everywhere like a security blanket.

Age:2
Milestones: She's really beginning to develop empathy. Several times this week she's looked at me and said, "Mummy tired." When H got home from work today she told him, "Mummy still poorly." She's right, but I don't know how she knows when she's so little!
Challenges: Big, overwhelming emotions. And potty training. I think she's very young for it. She's very keen but finding it hard. Lots of tears ensue.
Funny/cute stories: She identifies very strongly with her favourite teddy bear, and is beginning to get frustrated by Teddy's limitations. Three times today she tried to sit Teddy up, flung it onto the floor, and immediately picked it up for a cuddle.
How are you? I'm struggling. Need to keep reminding myself that it's less than three weeks since I lost the twins. If I was one of my friends I would be both impressed by how much I'm getting done and worried in case I was pushing myself too hard. I'm still having physical symptoms and there's no way I could be feeling well yet. I am not pathetic and weak. I've lost five babies in thirteen months. If I didn't have bad days there would be something wrong.
Anything else? Not really
QOTW:Revisiting an old question: What does your child sleep with at night? Her special teddy bear, Ursula, and two bedtime teddy bears, one of which was H's. Also a cuddly donkey and three owl cushions. We managed to cut it down a lot when we moved. There used to be six cuddly owls as well.

Age: 2.5 years old
Milestones: Singing songs for real, starting to be able to tell us what he did that day.
Challenges: Starting to test his limits a bit. Nothing major, just figuring out how to handle that.
Funny/cute stories: Not funny/cute, but sad. Today he looked at my mom as she was telling us a story about her cat and said,"Nanny, Nicki (our cat) got sick and died. Nicki sleeping." Happened two months ago. I didn't realize he'd remember.
How are you? OK, looking forward to a much needed vacation in two weeks!
Anything else? Not much else going on.
QOTW: Revisiting an old question: What does your child sleep with at night? Just a pillow and blanket. He refuses to have anything else in crib.
