Cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, emu’s....whatever ya got! Past, present, whatever!

We have 1 cat, a Chocolate Lab Java, a Walker Coon Hound Joe, and MH trains dogs on the side so a few client dogs in the mix.

lfig A and I have talked and we want a lab when something happens to ours. We're a 2 dog house so hopefully it'll be a while, but I want one of your pups!

Mallory can get on the bed and couch now. Zorro gets way less naps.. he's pretty grumpy about it.

He was asleep on the couch today and she snuggled up to him. So he went to our bed. Then she went in there and climbed up. So he came back to the couch. And she followed him again. So he went outside 😂 she lifted the doggy door flap and yelled at him

Here is Kona as a puppy. She was our dog before Java. She was bit by a snake and died 2 weeks before Sierra was born. 😞. But this is my fav picture ever because of her eyes!

And this is my sweet Macy. She was a blue heeler mix and the best little house dog/protector/companion. She was 10 when her health declined and she passed a few months after Sierra was born. And Xena is the yellow lab. We had her for 13 years. She was MH’s first dog and she came with the marriage. He got her when we were dating. Don’t laugh at our corny Christmas card picture with the scarves/bandanas on the dogs. 😂

This was how Pete spent his last day with us, pampered and loved on, even getting J’s cloths, no one gets to touch those things..(yes that is a changing pad, I kept it long after J needed it cause he loved it so much)

And my little tuxedo Zoe, only comes when she needs something and a sneaky little bugger, so typical cat 🤷‍♀️

Our giant Maine coon, BB. He's 15 now.
And my moms kitten, blue. Named by my boys after the velociraptor. He lives up to his breed, he's so vocal. But super sweet. My kids all carry him like a rag doll and he just purrs.

Can I also talk about the wildlife in my yard. I spend a small fortune on very specific bird food and peanuts and find myself watching them all the time.

We’ve got a squirrel we call Spike and three Blue Jays, they literally yell at us when the peanuts need refilling.

We’ve got our seasonal ducks, Fred and June. They come and go from the yard yearly for about 6 weeks early spring, this year the two cats were out and kids running after bubbles and they just hung out eating birdseed.


Countless sparrow and chickadees


This year I had a magpie nest in the spruce tree, when they are learning to fly it is so adorable they just kinda plop down and walk around the yard. One was super scared and the Mama was yelling at it so I made a little ladder so it could back up to the spruce, I’ve got a video of course.

And a rabbit that I feed during the winter and wont cut down this awful large bush in the front yard cause he snuggles up in there to avoid the elements. My neighbour always gets mad at me for feeding it cause apparently it goes and poops all over their driveway 😂 .

Mallory loves to feed the chickens. But one stole a cookie from her last week so she's very suspicious of them now lol

Could be too close for sure, maybe try moving it away a bit in a tree and add in a bird bath, not a glass one though cause it’s too slippery. birds like the shallow concrete ones, or if it’s a deeper one throw a couple big rocks in there for them to sit on.

I have a suet in a small cage like holder and a wooden bird feeder hung in the trees. Also, two bird baths that the water gets changed daily. They’re all spoiled rotten.

This is our old man. He has many names, but he’s mostly just Kitty since the kids came along. Because he’s so dark m, it’s hard to catch a good picture of him unless he’s bathed in sunlight, where he’s happiest anyway.

I know I’ve posted this to my Instagram, when it happened, but a mama deer let her baby rest on the edge of our property where the woods get a little more wild and secluded. I must’ve gone out to check on this little fawn 100 times in the span of a couple of hours.

And, of course there was the morning last fall when Charlie and I drove back home from the bus stop to find this guy eating out of our garbage can on trash day. I’ve only seen him once this year, but the bear cubs were at our neighbor’s house a bunch of times. She sent me some pretty amazing videos of them climbing her tree.
