I meal planned last night so I need to place my delivery order. I have homework to do and laundry. I need to clean the wood floors and put up Halloween decorations. I ordered our L’s costume last night and shirts for C and me. We are going to Knott’s Taste of Fall-O-Ween on the 15th. They have a great trail for the kids. Not the same but close enough L will be happy. Just trying for close to normal as possible.

Morning! Ds had his birthday party today (a bit early, but next week is autumn break & after that I’ll be almost 36w...). We went to the dunes for a scavenger hunt, it was a little wet, but the kids had a blast and ds was on cloud nine. I’m exhausted after last week & today, but also very satisfied with all that is now over and done and the fact my kid is so happy.

We are doing a Frozen theme. L picked the theme last year and E picked it this year. E is Elsa and L is Olaf with Gale. C has a Kristof shirt and I have an Anna inspired shirt. We didn’t want to spend a lot on our “costumes” since we aren’t doing as much this year. |

Morning.
MH is taking the vehicle for an oil change and the kids started this nonsense of attitude and picking on each other, I’ve quickly reminded them they dont run this house, a few minutes later now and it looks they’ve turned themselves around.
More house destruction today including the railings! Gah I hate these ugly things and I’ll be happy to see them sitting in the garbage pile. I’ve started taking down all the pictures in the house and making a pile for Goodwill.

Morning! We had a rough sleep night last night, I think because our power went out so sound machines went out. Lazy morning and then pumpkin patch and decorating for Halloween!

I’m at work. I should be leaving now but we are waiting on one patient to get done with another study before we can do him. I’ve just been twiddling my thumbs waiting. I want to gooooooooo.
M had tennis this morning, so I missed out on that. Not sure what else is on the agenda today.

Cadence had gymnastics, then we picked up our grocery order. They replaced my 2 flank steak rolades with 1 greek chicken thigh. How is that an equal substitution? Only 1 person gets food vs 2. Not cool.
One time they tried replacing my mom's chicken legs with chicken FEET. She refused them.
I need to remember to say no replacements on my orders.

I’m sorry anything we can do for you? No. We're all just in shock. My cousin is insisting she's in pain and my mom not getting back until Thursday is prolonging her suffering. Doctors say she is not in pain. But that's her mo, attack those close out of grief. Her husband is devastated. None of the kids know. The 10 year old knows its bad but not this bad. We can do aggressive treatment to treat the infection but she would be a vegetable the rest of her life. Her husband said she wouldn't want that. Its just insane to me. My mom is getting a lawyer and suing the first hospital she went to. They are responsible for her death. |

If we can get tickets we'll head to a fall fest farm today for different activities. I think we'll have an early dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory. It's a girl's day today.

peachsmama I'd encourage someone to have a frank talk with the kids and let them say goodbye to their mom. As tough as it is, honesty is the best policy in these situations. They might never get another chance to say goodbye and may have regrets for the rest of their lives they didn't get that opportunity.

Pdq My mom was 13 when her dad died, she didn’t say goodbye and didn’t go to his cremation (she was in denial), she still struggles with it after 45+ years. |

C got his flu shot with no tears. He is complaining a bit about his sore arm but that’s to be expected. I’m getting mine tomorrow. We went to a huge corn maze today. There were two to do. One was easy and took maybe 20min. The other was really tough and took us over an hour. I still don’t quite know how we got out! The farms’ pumpkins weren’t great so we stopped at our local farm on the way home and will be carving later. My boy cat has apparently never seen a pumpkin, since I only did decorative ones outside last year, and he is terrified. It’s pretty funny.
Last night I had dinner with friends. It was so nice to be out and feel normal. I also got lobster tails that were delicious.

I’m so sorry peachsmama. I missed what the first hospital did wrong I think. I never shared. She went there 3 weeks ago and they gave her 4 bags of blood and sent her on her way. No tests, no exam, they told her women only lose blood in their abdomen or uterus and never checked either. If they had even listened to her heart they would have heard that 3 of her valves were not functioning. She had gone to a different ER a week before that and they accused her of being drug seeking and refused her care. She finally ended up at a major hospital in Cincinnati and got real help. But it was just to late. |

Most of the time the trades are comparable, it's just recently that I've been all wtf? with their choices. |
