peachsmama I'm really sorry. The decision to pull the plug is a very hard one and no matter how much you know it's the right thing to do, you still carry a ton of guilt over it. As far as the children go, I would sit the 10 year old down separately to tell them and let them say good bye. Then allow the 10 year old to sit with the younger siblings when they are told a less detailed version of what is going on. The 10 year old will comprehend more of what is going on and be able to help console the younger ones.

Hey. H had soccer and I’ve been out working on getting my shrubs protected for the winter. Nothing else planned for today. Last night was a bit disappointing. The restaurant ended up closing their patio because it was too cold so had to sit inside. It was ok. They left a lot of spaces in between tables. The food was meh and expensive. I don’t know that I’d go there again. We decided to just go home after and were home before 9. peachsmama that’s so awful. I hope they tell the bigger kids that their mom is dying so they can say goodbye. Is she conscious right now? |

Theyve tried to wake her a few times but her blood pressure drops before they can get her awake. So they have to stop. |

Oh, @peach, that is heartbreaking. I’m so sorry. Is your mom coming home early? Shes undecided. Right now they're in the middle of a tropical storm and all flights are stopped. So she can't right now. |

Hi girls.
Trying, but failing, at keeping up here.
My grandma died earlier in the week and we’ve been making arrangements. Dude didn’t get to see his horse for therapy because it was too hot to ride.
He’s currently at the pool with Pete while the babies boycott nap.
X had therapy this morning, I made some Halloween sensory bins, and they decorated the house. Not sure what else we have planned for the day. Our playgrounds FINALLY! Reopened, so we will probably head to the park in the morning before the temps are too crazy.

Her husband went up today and so many things went wrong, they couldn't keep her stabilized and he withdrew care. Her kids get no closure. No time to say goodbye. None of us do. I haven't seen her in months. I'm just in shock.

I haven't gotten all the details yet because my mom and her husband are just a mess. But he went to visit and sit with her today and one thing after another went wrong. There was no choice I guess. |

Yesterday we had the kids’ soccer games, my dad actually came to both and C scored his first goal so it was a good day.  Then we went to our neighbors house who was having a small outdoor get together for her son’s bday. Somehow this turned into drinking until midnight so I am nursing a bit of a hangover this morning. 😣 |

wineallthetime can your kids influence mine? I couldn’t get an appointment till mid month and S is already complaining about how he doesn’t want it. But he’s excited for the dentist this week. Kids are weird.
