We’ve had some excitement. After we got home I cracked open a couple windows to cool the house down. I was standing in the kitchen making lunch and I heard a cat meowing. I sent S outside to look around to see if she could see anything. She thought the sound was coming from the neighbors yard. Nope, there was a teenage size cat inside of the live trap we have set for rabbits. I got some gloves and opened it up. At first it was scared to leave but then I tipped the cage up and it shot out of there like a bullet. He’s long gone now. The trap is in the yard waiting for DH to deal with it. Poor guy, I hope he wasn’t in there too long.

My mentor was just let go. I wouldn’t be at the job I am at today without him. My heart is sad. 😢 Ugh I’m sorry.

B was chosen as his class "Good (School Mascot)" this month...part of their character education/good citizenship program. His name was read during the school-wide morning announcements and he got a certificate, etc. So we celebrated with Wendy's frostys eta: of course he's currently in the backyard chasing after C with a palm frond, so.

B's little friend from Grade 1 and kinder always calls him on Teams, they're now sharing screens and playing a math game. It is adorable.

that's adorable vino. One of my favorite things is to just sit back and watch S with his friends. I feel like he fostered such great friendships from such a young age, I am hopeful that's a skill he keeps as he gets older. It's a plus that his friends seem like such good kids.

S has been asking for guitar lessons for a while. We had been thinking about either starting guitar or making him start with piano to get a foundation, and then Covid hit and we tabled it. So now I am thinking about doing it. I called a bunch of places that offer both and am trying to decide what to do. One will send a teacher to our house and/or offer virtual. The others are either in house or virtual.
I know virtual would be tough for him, I think to start learning an instrument would be hard. So now I just need to decide what I want for him. I hate decision making.

Hi hi - man that debate last night was a doozy, I was tense the whole time and felt hungover this morning bc I couldn't fall asleep. And then we had J's tooth fall out this morning, a yoga class for N, and standardized math testing for j all within 45 min this morning. J got in trouble twice with the sitter so had to spend the afternoon in his room, and k wasn't feeling her, so n had an expensive playdate in the basement.
Just confirming that everyone is registered and has a plan in place to vote, right? Please?

We had mums to unload, organize and distribute today for our pto fundraiser. So we were at the ball fields from 1-7. At 6:30 M fell 7 feet from the top of a tube slide. Landed on his wrist. Bit through his lip in 2 places and has a 3rd cut on the inside. I thought he needed to go to urgent care. A thought I was overreacting. So we didn't. We'll see how he is in the morning.

Has anyone tried the Old Navy joggers for their boys? I shop there extremely sporadically so am unsure how they normally run. These are the ones I was looking at. Size chart says he'd be a L which seems so big, but he is roughly 55" tall so maybe it's not so crazy.

I remember my high school did wreaths and other fresh Christmas greenery. Ours did mums ( and both sugar and carving pumpkins) this year. It was a really big hit!
