Morning. I feel so lucky. An hour after our U/S yesterday they reinforced the restrictions and partners aren’t allowed to come with you anymore. Since this is our last baby I’m so glad we had a fun last appointment together! I’ll have to go alone in three weeks, not my preferred choice of course, but that’s fine. Yard people just turned up, so I fled to my parents.

Ds had a sports day at school today, pdq, but he is getting so big. I’m so proud of my boy.

We had a crazy wind and rain storm overnight. It just calmed down. I have a few big branches in my yard but nothing is damaged. Sadly my graveyard didn’t make it but I got the pieces and will build it stronger.

I was thrilled we didn’t lose power but I just got the call that Cs aftercare did so unless it comes on in the next hour or so I’ll have to pick him up from school and end my workday early. 😞 I don’t have a lot of work but I wanted to test some paint samples in the bathrooms and binge watch Hulu. That kids always cramping my style😉

Cass asked me if I'm going to "have a third child." I told her probably not. They are getting older and I think my time having kids is done. She replied, "Sometimes when you have older kids you have another one unexpectedly. I've heard of that happening." She's trying to convince me to have a whoops baby.

Morning. Nothing but work today. Hoping it slows down after lunch. I’m looking forward to eating my soup today. It was cold out this morning.

I got my letter about the “bonus”, so that will be nice. It’s probably just extra money they have from the cares act that they need to do something with, but I’ll take it. Since my birthday is next month, I’m using some of it it to treat myself, but not sure to what yet.

One of the little girls in our neighborhood turns 5 today so we’re going there after dinner for outdoor cake and ice cream.

Cadence volunteered me to be troop treasurer during last night's parent girl scout meeting. This is why I didn't want her in the room with me during the Zoom meeting. She also tried to volunteer me to be co-leader. Girl, chill.

SSDD over here. MH is away for the next two days, I'm WFH and B is doing grade 2. J went to daycare and walked in like a boss of course, I'm happy she's excited to go back.

I’m currently sitting in my quiet house, baby sleeping and a fall candle burning. This is glorious. I need to stop at the bank after I pick up S from preschool, otherwise nothing planned for the rest of the day. Last night H’s school district released some numbers and said less than 1% of students and teachers have tested positive for covid and school has been in session for a month. This is amazing considering the state’s numbers are blowing up. Almost everyone is wearing masks at school and they are doing a good job of social distancing. Too bad everyone else in the country can’t just wear masks and social distance. In other news, the debate last night was a shit show as I expected. Luckily it was pretty quiet last night at work so I could watch it on my phone. They need to mute the other person’s microphone so they can’t interrupt. I wish we would have heard more policy and less bickering.

It is so beautiful here...cool, no humidity, breezy, bright blue skies. My sister and I went out for coffee after drop-off and sat outside to enjoy the weather. I don’t know if I’ve ever worn jeans in September before in FL so this is a treat.

I’ve had the glass guy here replacing a dining room window and will head out for C in a bit.

Our pup had some procedures done yesterday (under anesthesia) and was so pitiful last night. She’s still tired today but her tail is wagging, she’s more alert and not drool-y. We are waiting on biopsy results for one thing but vet thinks it’s benign 🤞🏻

trtlcrzy similarly, everyone predicted FL would be a shitshow when schools reopened b/c we had a spike this summer, but that has not been the case. I just read an article with #s and it’s pretty impressive. We’ve done a good job here, I hope states that are starting to reopen will have similar results.

Holy crap to tomorrow being Oct 1, we're going to start taking apart our house and ripping off all baseboards and casings when MH gets back. I'm going to walk around today and get some 'before' pics of the house because by Dec 2 this will be a completely different place.
