Hi just caught up. It’s the last week of fiscal for us. After SAP crashing on Friday all day, I had a lot to do. Plus closing out two contracts. I can’t wait for this week to be over. I’m taking next Wednesday off to recover.
L hit someone today at school with his metal water bottle. The teacher said he was provoked but he took it to the extreme. I asked if the other kid was punished for provoking and she just looked at me. L lost TV privileges for some time. I’m unsure for how long because he did hurt someone but this isn’t the first time this kid has picked on L.

The appointment went about as expected I guess. Evie wouldn't offer up information, but I talked to her on the way there and told her she needed to be completely honest and that I was going to tell her everything we have seen. During her exam, she spent a lot of time on both knees and ankles. Even though Evie says she's in no pain, they ordered an ultrasound on both knees and ankles. She thinks there is fluid in all 4 joints, if that is the case, they want to start her on mexotrexate. If there is no fluid on all joints, we will look into physical therapy. This is best case and my fingers are crossed. If there is fluid on the joints, this new med scares the shit out of me. There is a pill form of it, although it seems like most of the time it's given via injection. So I'd learn how to give her injections, usually weekly. I have questions, but we didn't talk alot about what happens after the ultrasound because Evie was visibly unhappy with this discussion. I'm sure I'll be having a phone call with her doctor. I'm also going to ask on a JIA FB page I'm on for input. I think the side effects of the mexotrexate scare me the most. This is a drug, that given in higher doses to adults, is used in the treatment of cancer. It's just crazy that I'm thinking about injecting it into her regularly for arthritis, although I know it's one of the most common drugs given for this treatment. I was given methotrexate injections to stop my first ectopic pregnancy. I’m surprised they would let you give her the injections though, I had to have the cancer nurses do my injections.
