vino yes that’s what I mean, my life already looked different by then, I met my h at 19, we had our own space, went to uni & had a parttime office job. I saw friends in small groups. I did went to concerts/festivals/dance clubs a lot, but for me that would have been the only things that wouldn’t be possible, so maybe I’m to far away for college students shoes .

I was a total nerd and rarely went to bars and clubs so I think I could social distance as a youth. I'd miss the house parties and dancing though.

I was a bit of a party girl in my college (and beyond...) days, so the social distancing would’ve been extremely difficult for me.

I went to an alternative dance night every week, I met Dh there, they combined sort of danceable rock music & pop music think nirvana, Fatboy slim, Beyoncé, 50cent, Jet (are you gonna be my girl was the opening song at our wedding). It was the best! We always started with a shot of tequila & than switched to beck’s in a bottle... a the good old days 😜.

My niece is back full-time as a sophomore in college. She and her roommate have a apartment on campus and their classes are still virtual. So she and her roommate never have to venture out unless they want to grocery shop or pick up takeout. That would’ve been hard for me, but Junior and senior year I lived with the same five girls and we partied with the house next to us on the nights that we didn’t go to bars. I easily could have done that every night and felt social and fulfilled.

Add me to the list of people who would have had a hard time social distancing in college. Yes, as an old woman, I watch the news and see the house parties (KU is 40 minutes from us) and wonder what these kids are thinking. Then realize I was at the bar 3 or 4 times a week in college. The social aspect is a huge part of college, so it would have been very difficult.
Evie has a rheumatologist appointment this afternoon, so I have to pull her from school early. We are going to seriously talk to her dr because she's still clearly in a pain and lying to us about it, which I get it, she's scared. But we need to get this under control and the anti inflammatories aren't helping.
Her first Girl Scout meeting is this afternoon as well, but I don't know if we will make it in time.

I left work, got a light workout in, and came home to make a soup for lunches the rest of the week and brownies. I have been wanting something baked all weekend. I wanted to make the dole whip cupcakes again, but brownies are much easier and equally delicious.

Hey! Currently sitting in the waiting room at the hospital while Sierra is in speech therapy.
So, Sierra’s aide quit 😕. They have hired someone new that will start Wednesday. Until then her aide from last year has been with her.
My parents are coming this week to stay for a few weeks in their RV in our driveway. 😂. They had some last minute changes in their plans because my dad fractured his foot and they couldn’t get reservations anywhere. So luckily for them we have the perfect place for them.

We went to the corn maze and now I need to find M to help me make banana bread.
She's been begging to watch scary movies so I let her watch Poltergeist with me. Didn't scare her at all. She thought the tequila worm monster in the second one was cute. 🤦♀️

The appointment went about as expected I guess.
Evie wouldn't offer up information, but I talked to her on the way there and told her she needed to be completely honest and that I was going to tell her everything we have seen. During her exam, she spent a lot of time on both knees and ankles. Even though Evie says she's in no pain, they ordered an ultrasound on both knees and ankles. She thinks there is fluid in all 4 joints, if that is the case, they want to start her on mexotrexate.
If there is no fluid on all joints, we will look into physical therapy. This is best case and my fingers are crossed.
If there is fluid on the joints, this new med scares the shit out of me. There is a pill form of it, although it seems like most of the time it's given via injection. So I'd learn how to give her injections, usually weekly. I have questions, but we didn't talk alot about what happens after the ultrasound because Evie was visibly unhappy with this discussion. I'm sure I'll be having a phone call with her doctor. I'm also going to ask on a JIA FB page I'm on for input.
I think the side effects of the mexotrexate scare me the most. This is a drug, that given in higher doses to adults, is used in the treatment of cancer. It's just crazy that I'm thinking about injecting it into her regularly for arthritis, although I know it's one of the most common drugs given for this treatment.

I’m sorry mwhip. This doesn’t help at all but my mom was on that drug for two years for her rheumatoid arthritis. It then started to not work very well and I think she is on Humira now. She was also very concerned about the side effects but was ok. It was better for her than coming off of prednisone after a flare and multiple cortisone injections. My dad did the injections. I don’t know how expensive it is but I remember having to go to their house a couple times while they were away to get the meds in the fridge and my moms panic during power outages. They have since gotten a generator.

Thanks wedding. I think I'll call insurance and ask about cost. Humira is one I see lots of kids using as well, but I think its usually added with the methotrexate when it starts to not be as effective.
