Anything fun planned girls?

Cadence has gymnastics this morning and then a girl scout zoom called Talon Talk where she's going to learn about various raptors.

We're also going to collect leaves around the neighborhood to make impressions of for salt dough ornaments, which is also a girl scout thing.

Last night her school had their mid-autumn festival (online) and Cadence win a bubble tea gift card for the lantern she made.

We are on our way back to the resort from the neatest bookstore, you know it’s a successful vacation when you finish all your reading material and have to go in search of more 👍🏻

More beach for us today, and hoping to stream some football on the iPad. And daiquiris.

Morning. L was up before 6, so the whole camper was up early. He’s napping now and the Dh is at the playground with the kids, so I’m having coffee in peace (minus the dog who won’t relax).

It’s much cooler and cloudy today, so not sure what we’ll all do... Probably a bike ride again. We went about 12 miles yesterday and it was too much for N so she’s hesitant to go again today, but we won’t go as far.

We head home today. The girls have had a blast. The wedding was nice. This morning M wants to have breakfast with MH so C and I are going to walk to the park.

Oh that’s one of our favorites! It used to be in another location and the kids section was downstairs (kind of a basement) with a spiral staircase to access it, I have such good memories of going down there to look for books.

Morning. Dh fixed my bike, which is nice. Our tv broke a few moths back and dive we had a spare one, that even tough it was tiny, worked just fine we decided not to get a new one. FF to today my best friend texted me that her H really ‘needed’ a new tv and if we wanted their ‘old’ one! Score! I’m bringing her and her H and cheeseboard and some wine to thank her next week .

My craving for clams disappeared, so we switched to indian take out for tonight, can’t wait!

We have a babysitter coming tonight so we can go to a friend's house for his birthday. M has asked me 975848938275890 times when she's going to get here. It's not hot as balls today so we'll be spending some time outside. I need to get some work done though because not a lot is getting done during the week while homeschooling.

It’s a perfect Autumn day, and we felt the need to get out of the city today and a neighbour is interested in where we have our summer lot, I think they’re looking to buy. So we’re headed out there for the day taking them for a round of golf and a tour of the properties. Should be a nice day.

FIL stopped by unexpectedly this morning to talk to MH. Apparently they've found a priest who's very successful in "converting" people from gay to strait.....

There was a huge group of picketers in front of the women's center this morning. I've never wished covid upon anyone until now. And most of the idiots weren't even wearing masks.

Hiiiiiii. Happy fall. I went to running group this morning but honestly I'm a bit uncomfortable with how close some people feel the need to get post-run. Especially since the town is on the train line and has consistently higher cases than here. But it IS nice to socialize and I always run better there. I am tired though!!

DH took the boys to soccer, first was Chase at 10 and then Colin at 11. He insisted on going solo because he figured if he's there alone with the kids, no one can guilt him into helping with coaching. Ha. Now Col has an afternoon baseball game so they are heading over soon while I hang out with Chase. I am trying to convince him to go to the game for a bit, but he's not too interested.

Colin's hybrid model has been going so well that they are switching to a full in-person schedule at the elementary school level on October 5th. I kinda wish they just left things as is, but he's thrilled. Who knows how long it will even last?

B has one; he pulled it out recently for the first time in months and then it was quickly abandoned for something else.

He got it last Christmas and in hindsight it was probably a year late (maybe more). He hasn’t used it as much as I thought he would.

We have a few different ones we were given as gifts and the boys love them all equally. I don’t think you can go wrong.

We had a lazy morning. M2 was up first and he just grabbed his iPad and plopped down in our bed to watch Netflix. He didn’t even try to wake us... win. Now if I can just show him how to make his own pancakes. Lol.

Nothing but some cleaning and our date night with the neighbors. The boys are excited about their night with babysitters, too.

My friend B (who is also an admin at work) and her kids are coming over for a play date with L and E. So I’m cleaning and getting ready for that. I also have a very large paper due today that I’m almost done with.

I’m also trying to figure out what we are doing with the kids for Halloween. FB reminded me this is the time we normally do the Halloween parties at Disney.

Colin still loves marbles. He loves creating his own tracks and trying to make multiple starting points so they can race to a single endpoint. Pretty much everything on Amazon is compatible.

We have a regular marble run but also one that is attached to the Picasso tiles. That gets a bigger bang for its buck over here.
